What I enjoyed most about this property was the food! The food was excellent. The pools were great and the bartenders there were very efficient. I was celebrating my birthday and the hotel staff decorated my room with balloons and a fruit platter and a nice card. That was very kind. I enjoyed the beach access and that scuba caribe was on site for booking excursions.The only complaint I have is that when I got to the room, the toilet was clogged so I had to have maintenance fix it so I could actually use the bathroom. They did not arrive to help until hours later and even then, it wasn’t fully fixed. The front desk did offer for us to switch rooms the next morning which we accepted. The hotel also did turn the hot water off at one point from 4 PM to 11 PM and did not inform the patrons staying that they were doing that so I had to take a cold shower and thought that we received another room with a defective bathroom. Overall, those issues didn’t impact my experience too heavily and I still enjoyed my stay.

Amazing holiday
Absolutely wonderful vacation! Hotel in a beautiful garden, beautiful weather, delicious food, great atmosphere, excellent service! Rooms a bit "tired", but very clean and well-kept. Perfect and helpful service at the reception!

Amazing place
Great accommodations. Friendly staff and super place to vacation. Loved it The only issue was a lack of working elevators

Not a 5☆ but still decent.
Our air conditioner broke on the 2nd day. They upgraded us so that was good. Food was ok. Buffet is the same everyday, nothing new, no theme nights. A la cartes do not take reservations so you need to line up at least 1 hr prior which is ridiculous when on vacation. The main pool was disgusting. It was never cleaned. The debris that collected and the film on the top def had me concerned about getting ill. Luckily the adult pool in the new building was clean so we went there daily. 2 out of 3 elevators were out of service on our side of the hotel. Elevator that was working only held 5ppl at a time so that is not adequate for a hotel of that size. People were very friendly and helpful. Our sunwing rep was great also. The riu palace next door is worth paying the extra for. We were allowed to walk through. All the pools were super clean and the hotel was in much better shape. I would def go back but would only stay at the riu palace. The natural wildlife next door to the palace is amazing.
