Great resort. Food was excellent. Service was very good. Beach is amazing. Definitely recommend this hotel. I've been to Secrets and Sandals hotels and I'd say overall this resort is comparable and in my top 5 favorite places ive been. Restaurants are great. Only complaint is they do echo allot with all the tile and during busy times it can be on the loud side. Food is good at restaurants but found Secrets was slightly better quality. Overall amazing vacation and will return.

First, we were 2 couples and we were there, unfortunately, the week it was cool, windy and rainy. That was Jan 19-26th, temps 22c to 26c but cool. The beach is beautiful but water too rough to swim due to weather, red flags daily and couple of tourist drowned that week in Cancun area. We had great meals at Gourmet Restaurant, Japanese and Mexican. Buffet was hit and miss. Steak House was very poor meal. The staff was so friendly and service was slow in some restaurants but staff really worked hard to make guests happy. Nico at bar by adult pool was amazing, great customer service. Also, Rita at buffet restaurant was very good as well. Rooms are large and very clean. Wonderful layout at the resort, you don’t have to walk far to get anywhere. We did dessert almost every night in the piano/coffee lounge, best cakes I’ve ever had in the Caribbean. No complaints with diarrhea but the men did get sick at end of vacay, not sure if it was food or booze. I’d go back.

Nice hotel
This is a very nice hotel. Staff was great. Hotel is clean and seems well kept. Food was very good. Beach is beautiful, just wish there was more shade. You can walk for miles. It’s quite far from the airport. The ocean is nice but it’s never calm and it’s quite windy all of the time. Riu parties were so fun!

We went there for a week and we had a great experience, Riu party was very fun in riu caribe, in my opinion Riu never disappoints

Will never go back to Mexico because of the experience at this place. What genius thought it was a good idea to put down the most slippery tile in a place where people are always wet? We saw injured people daily! The food is subpar and my child got horrible food poisoning. The only redeeming part is the beach. Been to many RIU properties and always had great experiences until this place
