Great experience
Loved it! Hard to get into some restaurants, but I was already expecting that. Other than that, it was wonderful.

A tranquil Stay
This was one of the more relaxing stays I've had with any RIU property. The views were absolutely amazing, the food was ok but the beds I have to be honest about were horrible. They are so hard and uncomfortable. Outside of that they have an amazing staff, very attentive and always willing to assist guests.

Excellent!
I loved my stay! Highly recommend. Everyone was so nice and everything was kept so clean. The birds were very active in the morning, but luckily I am an early riser and I loved the birds.

Overall experience
Overall service was great except night front desk person on 3/19/25. It seems like something going on his personal life and taking out that frustration on others at work. Food quality at Bombay restaurant needs improvement and nothing hurts to have some more options for vegetarian guests

Beware – Rampant Theft & Zero Accountability
Our recent stay at RIU Palaces Cabo was ruined by a shocking lack of security and accountability. Over the course of five days, three different groups in our party of 21 were robbed. Thieves (presumed hotel staff) broke into our safe and stole $500 cash. No sign of forced entry so a default code was used. Also leading to hotel staff being culprits. Safe was locked. Later reading Reddit reviews corroborated the same type of theft story. Another female friend on our trip walked into their room to find a hotel staff member actively going through a purse. She walked him to the front desk to have staff management. Tell her the staff person was doing a good deed as he “found her purse in the hall and was bringing it back into the room.” The most heartbreaking theft was from the groom’s mother—her jewelry box, containing her wedding ring and her grandmother’s earrings, was stolen. When we reported these incidents, the hotel staff was completely indifferent, offering no real assistance or concern. I had them call the police who came, but it led nowhere. There was no urgency, no accountability, and certainly no effort to make things right. It’s clear that theft is a recurring issue at this resort, and management has no interest in protecting its guests. If you value your belongings and your peace of mind, stay elsewhere.
