Would return tomorrow!
Amazing trip. very clean, staff goes above and beyond to ensure that you have everything that you need. Food was excellent with a great selection. Blanka provided amazing service every morning at the breakfast buffet. Resort was fully booked, however, you would never no it. Never had a problem finding chairs around the pool. Would return tomorrow!

The Good, The Bad and the OK
The Good, The Bad and the OK Overall the resort is decent and great value, having been a guest at this property many many time over 20 years including getting married on property, I can say that it is starting to show its age. Cleanliness is a 9/10, food is a 6-7/10, overall property is a 6/10. Very much in need of a freshen up, things are starting to look old, the room we had (ocean front jacuzzi suite) location is a 10 but the room itself is tired, missing furniture, the furniture that was there is old and falling apart. The jacuzzi on the deck we paid for, did not work, it filled with water but jets would not work. Honestly for what I paid for the room I expected a bit of a luxury vibe, room 6/10. But it was spotless. It shouldn't take 3 calls to front desk to get the liquor cabinet refilled. Plugs in room wouldn't hold a 2 prong iPhone block, just fell out. Like I said its just a bit disappointing watching the resort decline every year. The people that work there are a 9/10 and obviously work very hard to keep what they have the best it can be. The buffet, 7/10 most days with ample and diverse choices. One night, Monday the 21 April 2025, the quality and selection of food was a 3/10. Not sure who put that day together, but was an epic failure. Ended up with sandwiches from the coffee bar upstairs. Overall the resort is a great value 7/10, location is a 10/10 close to town but not to close. Close to off resort amenities like Walmart and Costco within walking distance, town is a $10-15 cab ride. As a guest of the "palace" I expected access to the other 2 resorts next door but was told we were not welcome at palace baja. That makes no sense why this would have been changed from years past.

Good - not great
We loved that this is an all inclusive only resort, so there was no signing for things or waiting to be shown to tables at the buffet... the no signing made for a more seamless and welcoming experience. However, we found the resort not overly friendly for little kids... the dinner options were VERY limited for toddlers and we found ourselves having to run to the buffet for pizza, AGAIN, for the kids while we tried to enjoy a slightly-better-than-buffet meal at one of the restaurants. There was no kids pool at the main resort and the water world at the Santa Fe site was a trek with toddlers and didn't offer the benefits of bar service... so we constantly found ourselves in either an adults area or a kids area, but the resort didn't meld the two together well. Also, all of the evening kids parties were at 8pm... again, just not a smart time for little kids, Event our 5yo struggled to stay up so late. The rooms are nicely appointed, but little kids can't reach the soap dispensers, faucets or sinks. We got A LOT of corridor noise in the evenings and didnt' sleep well over the weekend when other guests were up all night.

Great Hotel in a perfect location
We loved our stay at the Riu Palance hotel. Great view, amazing pools and very well-kept gardens. Additionally, the staff is very kind and helpful at all times. The only suggestions are to improve teh accuracy of the app and to address when very loud guests make noise late at night.
