Great vacation
Food and service was great and everything was very clean. I would have liked to see more weights in the gym. One set of dumbbells is definitely not enough!

Good All Inclusive Hotel with an Incredible View
I travelled to RIU Palace Baja California with a group of 8 friends. We chose this resort for its location and that it is Adults Only. The rooms are beautifully appointed, great linens, comfy beds and in-room stocked bar. The tub located in the middle of a room with 2 double beds is a bit odd for friends sharing a room, but easily overlooked. Our courtyard view room was perfect for our needs. The cleaning staff was spot on. We were a bit taken aback by the number of young Spring Breakers at the resort which resulted in a party vibe we hadn't expected, but aside from one drunken incident at the poolside, we were unbothered it. Especially after viewing the level of party insanity at the RIU next door. Yikes! After a two days at the resort we began to question the quality and content of alcohol in our drinks - to say they must be watered down is putting it very mildly. We wondered if perhaps there was no alchohol in any of our mixed drinks? On the plus side we enjoyed a week of no hangovers, but considering this resort is the highest end of the RIU properties on the beach we expected to enjoy some relaxing cocktails. We did have drinks at the RIU lobby next door and could certainly taste the difference. The resort food is "good, not great". Lots of options at the buffet, the omelet and egg stations moved very quickly - kudos to the staff. One area that could be improved on is staff having a better understanding of nut allergies. If you are allergic to gluten they've got you covered! But no signs at all indicating allergens otherwise. Entertainment was top notch and the pool staff was enthusiastic without being overbearing. Service at the poolside was very attentive. Overall we had a lovely time, we were well rested. If you are looking for a clean, beautiful resort with an incredible view and are not too picky about food or drinks, this is the resort for. you.

Amazing 🤩
I loved this location adults only and lots of events to go to and lots of amazing food to choose from and amazing views and right on the beach perfect spot to stay! Make sure to book a shuttle And not uber to go to international airport or else you may end up at the local airport like we did and miss your flight .

Worth the upgrade to stay here instead of Santa Fe!
Thank goodness we stayed here instead of Riu Santa Fe during spring break. We typically stay next door at Santa Fe due to the price point and we paid quite a bit more to stay at the Baja, but it was well worth it. We walked next door to the Santa Fe to check to see how crazy it way and it was a sea of 18-21 year old drunken kids trashing the place. This place compared to Santa Fe: better food, cleaner, better service, less riff raff, better pool entertainment, and live music, rooms newer, rooftop bars are great and just more upscale overall. I only have 2 suggestions for improvement- 1: allow guests to hang do not disturb signs on their doors (there are none and I had housekeepers knocking a lot when I didn’t want to be bothered.) 2. The mattresses are not great and seem flimsy. They feel the same in all 3 Riu hotels in Cabo. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will stay again even though it costs significantly more.

Love this RIU resort!
The Baja California adults only was the right move for this spring break! Its neighboring resort, Santa Fe, is more so for a wilder crowd, so we were glad we booked here. The views were amazing and could be seen from all parts of the pool. The rooms were cleaned promptly each day and the resort itself was very clean. The resort is the perfect distance away from the marina if you want a nice 45 minute beach walk to get there, which was amazing. I've seen reviews of guests not being able to sleep due to music from the Santa Fe, but that was not the case for us. It was only audible if you were outside your room. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Pepe's tacos by the pool for lunch were delicious. I have been to many RIU resorts and unfortunately I have to say that the dinners at this one were subpar. They were okay but not what I was expecting. None of the restaurants take reservations which was a huge issue. The food was not great at the places we tried, including the buffet. We had to go to the buffet most nights because we simply couldn't get into the other restaurants. The desserts at the buffet were really really good but the dinner foods were not as good as other RIU resorts I have been to. The breakfast and lunch by the pool really did make up for the poor dinner so I still have to give this RIU a great rating! One last thing that wasn't great about this resort was the gym. It was very small and could probably occupy 10 people at most. With only 3 treadmills and a few weights, it wasn't very convenient to workout. Other than dinner and the gym, everything else about this resort was amazing and I would definitely recommend to anyone!
