Feb 20, 2025RIU Palace Aruba Exceeded Expectations.
My family and I spent a week at the RIU Palace Aruba and had an amazing vacation. We have been exclusive to RIU resorts for over 10 years now and this property was another great experience. Everything we experienced from the staff to the food to the vibe, exceeded our expectations. I know there is lots of negative feedback about the rooms. We had basic rooms and yes they are old and tired and maybe not 5 star but for me the accommodations definitely met the tings I expect... The rooms were always spotless, the AC worked perfect, the fridge worked perfect, and the bed was comfortable. Yes one elevator was out of service in our building but honestly for the times it was an inconvenience, oh well, it never hurt my time there. For comparison, we stayed at the RIU Antillas next door last October and although it was fantastic too, we did find we liked the RIU Palace a little better, it felt more lively. If your the type of person that doesn't pout about the small things that arent worth pouting about, you will love it here. Aruba is a wonderful place, and we will continue to come back to the RIU's here.

Nice RIU Had room with construction outside next door Not a fan for that could hear loud music till 3am every night Overall great food and drinks and a beautiful beach area. And pool. 8/10

Had great time... very nice staff food and bar wise Only complaints if any which are very small compared to The people and time we had was .... the towel for pool service and couldn't make reservations at restaurants was first come first serve and the room Service only certain things after certain time Besides that I'm Coming back!!!!

Absolutely outstanding!
Our stay at the Riu Palace in Aruba was wonderful! The desk clerk provided us with an exceptional room with privacy and amazing views. The restaurants were a great diversion from the buffet with a variety of choices. We had a great time and plan to return.

Decent all-inclusive, nice locatoin
Traveled mid-January with another Mom and son; the resort is pretty much exactly how others have reviewed it. Rooms are clean but definitely dated. We had asked for two queen beds and ended up with King mini-suite with a sofa and cot; not exactly what we wanted, and they did offer to move us the following day but could not get us in close proximity to each other so we opted not to move. Front desk staff was generally very attentive and check-in was easy. The resort itself is kept very clean - there is always staff cleaning, wiping, sweeping. For us, there were not enough food choices to enjoy eating dinner there every night of our 5 nights; the buffet food is very good and they do offer many choices but we prefer a nice sit down venue for dinner so ended up eating out a couple of the nights (somewhat defeats the purpose of all-inclusive). To be noted, is the steak house opens at 6 not 630 as the Riu app states. We turned up at 620 for a 630 dinner and had to wait for the 8 pm seating - a bit frustrating for sure. As for the beach and pool chairs, they are definitely limited and the first come first serve is tough if you are not an early riser. Note that after 2 hrs your chairs will likely be cleaned off - best way to guarantee a spot on the beach is make friends with the beach attendant and give him a nice tip! Overall, it was a nice trip and the hotel is located close to town so walking in is easy.
