Beautiful location
Visited here in March for a week When we arrived room was “upgraded” to a bigger room. Unsure if from this we lost a better view room which we had paid in booking but stayed in the room which was lovely and a big size for the 2 of us The beach is beautiful. Plenty of beds were available and enough bars to walk along to to get drinks when needed The food was fine saw lots of reviews moaning can’t understand why. We had always found stuff in the buffet and if anything did run out it was replenished quickly. Never struggled to get a seat We used 3 of the themed restaurants with no issues booking to any. Again food was good Resort is big to walk around but sites and grounds beautiful enough to not notice how much walking you did a day Thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would be looking to return again

Ocho Rios Hotel Riu
Over Spring Break, my wife and I got away to Hotel Riu Ocho Rios. The truth is that we had a great time at this all-inclusive. Normally, we like to get out and experience a little more of the country; however, this time, we just needed a break, some vacation, and that is what we received. The room was terrific, we were on the garden side of things, the resort is huge, but we found our spot perfect, quiet, and clean!! The house cleaning was fantastic and met our every need. To be honest, the food is that of an all-inclusive. You have to remember that they are trying to serve a lot of people. I would have liked more breakfast options, maybe opening an extra restaurant or two so people can spread out better. However, the food was okay, not exceptional, but fine. I would have liked some tastier fruit as well; it came out bland, but that might be because of the time of year! Overall, a great experience and will potentially make me try another Riu in another part of the world.
