Staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Feel of resort felt manufactured, not much variety in the food at the buffet or entertainment. Food at the restaurants was very good. Grounds were very maintained and we felt safe, beach was always clean in the am after late night visitors. On the 29th or 30th of Dec there was a couples entertainment, couples from the audience, very awkward and uncomfortable.

The current condition of this hotel does not make it 5 stars. We had several issues from no electricity lights on and off for three days. Roach in our room. And poor food selection. Can you imagine no power in the building no elevators and luggage to transport from the 4th floor. No one ever apologized when we left. They were demolishing the stage aswell. I give a perfect score for entertainment. I won’t be booking again.

Okay stay
Nice clean room. Great pools and beach. Good service from very friendly bartenders and waiters. The food is not even mediocre unfortunately. Almost everything was almost cold and all meat was very dry. Fruit is imported, hardly ripe, hard, not sun ripened, not sweet. Cocktails were yummy though. Only after 2 days they ran out of bananas and the rest of the week they didn’t got them 😳 Entertainment is nice. Only all week the same reggae band performing at night.

Loved every night the stag was so friendly and enjoyed learning nanotechnology locals. I enjoyed the bingo games and the night shows they had. The beaches was beautiful and enough space and chairs for everyone. definitely will be back again.

Wonderful Holiday
I returned from this hotel a week ago and I really wanted to write my experience of my trip. The hotel is very big and very busy however, there were always enough sun lounges on the beach. Our room was cleaned everyday throughout our stay and it was at my choice on whether I wanted to tip the staff. There is no pressure to do this however, I feel the hotel staff work hard and decided to tip the cleaners as well as the restaurant staff. The main buffet room is very busy and food was replenish at a timely manner. I celebrated my birthday while on holiday and thanks to the staff in the Italian restaurant who sang Happy Birthday to me and presented me with a cake. We visited Dunns River as well as the Blue Mountain tour. We also participated in River Rafting and horseback riding in the sea. This was an amazing experience. These excursions were all booked at the front of the hotel and they organise for the transport to meet and take you back. I would recommended anyone visiting to download the Rui App as you can top up your mini bar request as well as book in one of the other restaurants through the App. The staff work consistently to keep the hotel clean and I don't think they get the credit they deserve. Well done to the entertainment team who kept everyone going in the evenings. I enjoyed the Michael Jackson evening and I thought the Beach Party with the DJ on the decks was the best. Well done to hotel Riu for organising New Year's Eve. I walked into the food hall after a short que but was pleasantly surprised at the whole layout and the effort made for New Year's eve. I enjoyed the fireworks as well. Thank you hotel Riu for a good start to 2025, I look forward to returning again in the future.
