A lovely hotel with lots of pools and loungers, beautiful views and shore line walk. There is a beach and shops just a short walk away along the shore. There is hotel was kept very clean and there was always pool towels and loungers available when you wanted them.

Jan 06, 2025Nice stay with lovely staff
Stayed for a week here with my fiance, check in was fine and speedy, room view was beautiful overlooking the sea with sun set directly outside. Pool area for adults filled up quickly so had to be sharp to get good position. Drinks where fine enjoyed the alcohol felt the soft drinks where not the real ones but can live with it. Only eat in all you can eat and the grill restaurant don’t waste your time going here it’s just another eat all you like. Food was average always something to eat and always warm and fresh not amazing but also not terrible was happy enough with it as we eat out a lot anyway. Staff where brilliant couldn’t fault them overall it’s a nice stay and I was more than happy with service I got potentially wouldn’t go back but only because the food wasn’t amazing and we are food lovers but it’s a nice family hotel with lovely views and it’s spotless.

Always consistently a lovely holiday
Stayed here many times. Rarely disappointed. Food much better this time; far more fish and less pork. Really impressed. Accommodation modern, clean and really enjoyed the ambience around the place. Staff are ALWAYS lovely and very pleasant. All in all a great stay.

I wanted to be able to give this hotel a 4* but I would be letting it down for any improvements that could be made. The hotel is lovely, apparently recently refurbished and the feel to it is welcoming along with the lovely staff who are very helpful and friendly, mostly. The location is away from the hustle bustle and is very relaxing considering how big it is. My friend and I spent a week here from Boxing Day to 2nd Jan. We went for some winter sun, good food and relaxation. The weather was lovely for the most of our time so we were able to relax until we became ill. The food, however was a very different story! Although there was the usual buffet areas for meals, there was also different restaurants which could be booked so we did try these too. The food for every meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner was almost the same choice every single day for the whole week. Not only was it the same choice of food, the quality was definitely substandard for a 4* hotel and so many flies touching the open areas, like the cheeses and salads. There was an abundance of low quality food which neither myself nor my friend could eat much of. Along with this, the drinks were all local brands too (fake as the staff called them) so you didn’t even feel like you was drinking an alcoholic beverage. The wine tasted like it was watered down when self serving in the restaurants. The only drink that seemed okay was the cava but you can’t spoil cava from a bottle unless it’s the cheapest form! We did have a word with the TUI rep but like some other guests had said, they weren’t interested and tried to cover the food issue up. Also there was many people who were ill in the hotel and again the rep tried to blame this on people bringing viruses in from other countries. I spent 3 days in bed with a virus and my friend had an episode of diarrhoea. I am really sorry to say that neither of us would want to return to this hotel anytime soon due to the issues stated. Let’s hope someone listens to all the negative comments on here about the food and have a review of the quality rather than the quantity! Thanks to the wonderful staff at Riu Buenavista for being so welcoming and friendly 😊

A nice hotel. Great rooms. Have stayed in better RUI hotels regarding dining as there was limited choice and it was always cold. Tables were not cleared away promptly.
