We really liked our stay at this hotel. Nice staff, clean in general, nice drinks, fun activities. Some cons : lots of plastics on the beach. Made us cringed for the environment. The food was good, (sometimes just ok) but missing some ''wow'' effect, sometimes it was bland. Loved the themed nights. But overall we recommend this hotel!

Lots of fun!
Overall I had a great time at Riu Bambu. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food was pretty awesome, and the overall resort and beach is beautiful. My only disappointment was the air conditioning in the room. It was inconsistent in terms of keeping the room cold. Some nights were too cold, others too hot. Furthermore, the door to the balcony never shut properly, which when open turns off the A/C. Otherwise, a great experience. I'd go back again.

The entertainement at the lobby at night should start 7 to 10pm with music and staff to entertaine the croud!

overall the resort was good, not the best but for what you pay it was good. there was some concerns about the cleanliness of the pools especially around the bars, were the was some weird smell in the water. additionally. while the food was good, there wasn't much variety between the restaurants and the main dinning area, the food was pretty much the same no matter where you went. one of the things that concerned me as a visitor was the unprofessional way that one of the staff members acted while we were there. he asked my friend and i to give him some alcohol and when she and i went to return to our rooms he tried to take my friend to a back room. I don't now what he was planning. but considering that she was drunk and unable to understand him, this made me very concerned and we felt a bit unsafe. when visiting make sure to go in pairs.

Wonderful Experience
A solid 4.5 out of 5! This resort was amazing. We really enjoyed it! The food was fabulous, of course it gets repetitive but it always had something new, we tried all the restaurants and loved the Colonial! The steak restaurant was fabulous but line up an hour early, the Hibachi was my favourite with salmon to die for! Staff at this resort were always friendly and patient with our lack of Spanish! Carmen at the Colonial buffet was amazing! The shows were great, the beach beautiful and never had a problem finding chairs even if we went later, the main pool was always super crowded the one in the back by our room was never a problem. We had quite the trek to our room but the walking balanced our food and drinks. The Riu party was something to see and we were right across the street from it and had no noise issues at all! We had to call front desk twice once for a door sticking and once for water and they were there super fast! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The waterslides are within walking distance and there is a 24hr clinic. Our only complaints were no room service and the only food after 10 was at the sports bar and not very appealing it was nachos and cheese, hotdogs soaked in water that looked really old, sandwiches and fruit again that you weren’t sure how fresh. The resort also has no elevators so if you can’t do stairs book main floor! We definitely would recommend this it’s great for adults, teens and kids. The kids had their own pool area, water slides and entertainment! Such a great holiday! Thanks RIU!
