Our experience exceeded our expectations.
We just returned from our trip and yes, we would stay there again. The property was kept clean, particularly the main dining area. The staff members continually worked to keep the buffet area neat. We want to recognize the following individuals: TJ and Manual at Topez, Andi, Michael and Ann Marie in Activities and Clementina at Cafe 1761. These people exceeded our expectations every day and made our stay pleasurable. Egmund has to be one of the most committed employees at Pineapple Beach Club....always smiling and quick to respond to our request for a to go container for a friend that didn't feel up to going to dinner. We requested a room that would accommodate our traveling companions, who needed to be close due to physical limitations. We stayed in the 400 block near the Turtle pool and our house keeping attendant was thorough and thanked us for the chocolates we left for Valentine's Day. We've been taking winter trips for many years and this year we opted for a relaxed, less crowded property and we are glad we chose PBC. It was hard to go from 85 degrees to 5 degrees when we got back home! We called our trivia team Sexy Seniors......The Activities Team was awesome.

A Heaping Dose of Vitamin Sea
We have just returned from 2 weeks at this resort and I’d highly recommend it. Not very far from the airport — about 1/2 an hour. The grounds are lush and well kept, the beach is well-groomed with plenty of sun cots and shady areas (if that is your preference). The water is a bit rougher on the Atlantic side, but still very swimmable, and there is a small reef just to the right of the resort if you like to snorkel. There are at least 4 pools, 4 bars, 4 restaurants (only one that is an extra charge), an all-day snack bar as well as a lunchtime bbq on a spectacular lookout and a coffee shop. The rooms are spacious and well appointed/maintained, all centrally located. But then there is the staff — any successful resort knows that a big reason for returning is the staff. The folk here are awesome… Nichole (aka Mermaid Nichole), Tricia, Jo-Ann-the-omelette-lady, Egbert, Delta, Charlie, Wallace, Arlene, Sara-Ann, Joyce, Kevin, Barrymore and many many others all are so very welcoming and pay attention to what creates a special atmosphere for the guests. Behind a well-run resort is the GM, Sanjay was out and about daily, speaking with the guests and staff alike, asking for input and suggestions…and the staff genuinely spoke very highly of her.

Definitely try this resort!
Travelled with a large group to this beautiful resort in early February. A bit of an issue the first full day there as the Sunwing rep did not show up when scheduled; however, one of the PBC staff provided a quick tour of the site which is made it very easy to find things. Members of the group who wanted to book tours arranged things on their own. We found the staff very friendly and accommodating, especially at meal times if we all wanted to eat together. The grounds staff do an amazing job – everything is lush and well cared for. It was very windy the week we were there so we did not get any snorkeling in, but the ocean was very warm and the anchored floats were well used, whether you sat in them or simply held on and bobbed along. It’s calmer at the far end of the beach and there are schools of fish, including needlenose gar – a banana usually brings them in close. Also, check out the tortoises who have their own habitat on the grounds and are well looked after. Highly recommend taking advantage of the aqua fitness class in the large, two-level pool every morning – instructors were very enthusiastic with a good sense of humour. There are shuffleboard courts, cornhole, outside chess, ping-pong, billiards, and a number of other daily activities. The infinity pool has in-water loungers and the sand pipers come late in the afternoon to drink and bathe in the shallows. Had a variety of evening entertainment and the steel drum band was great. Guests can sign up for a day pass to The Verandah across the road; no charge but they do limit the number/day. Staff will take you across in a golf cart – take your swimsuit etc. but towels are provided. Nice resort but it covers a lot of ground - you pretty much need to use their golf cart transportation system to get around. As it’s on an inlet, the ocean is much calmer and their beach is nice (they’ve left a lot of natural vegetation for shade). But, the ocean floor is awful – it’s very shallow and you sink up to your ankles in seaweed and soft sand – gushy is the only word I can think of. PBC definitely has the better beach/ocean front. There’s a good pizza place at the top of the stairs from the beach (long walk up/down) and you can call from there to have a golf cart pick you up when you’re ready to leave. We did have fun at the mini-golf course – everything provided. Lots of choice in the Topaz buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Had a wonderful salmon dinner at the Pineapple Grill and tried the Italian restaurant. Not a fan personally but the rest of the group enjoyed it. Pool-side snack bar offers typical fast food – quick and pretty good. Go prepared for White Night (everyone encouraged to wear white). It’s held on the grounds and the staff go to a ton of work stringing lights, moving tables/chairs and setting up all the food. Salads, soup, sides, desserts and a choice of whatever is grilling on the several BBQs. Looks stunning at night. They also planned a beach party; still a good evening although it moved indoors because of the wind. The hike up to the Outhouse is definitely worth it – views along the way are spectacular and it offers a good selection of BBQ meat, sides and drinks. Signs from guests around the world are tacked up everywhere, everything from simple flip-flops to pretty professional looking ones. If you need a lift up or back, a golf cart comes along fairly often and will give you a ride. Our group often ended the day relaxing outside the 17 61 Coffee Shop which has a great selection of coffees/teas and very tasty snacks and ice cream. Ginger the cat is very friendly and likes to end her day curled up on the railing. As for rooms, two of us were on the 2nd floor of the 200 block which looked over the main grounds. As the last room at the end of the shared hall, we didn’t have much privacy so didn’t sit outside our room much. Rooms have outside racks for handing wet things which was a great idea. Some of our group had rooms in the 400 block near the quiet pool and had fairly large balconies which would be preferable. Not sure I’d recommend the 500 block which, although it has ocean views, also has the walkway up to the Outhouse running directly behind the ground rooms. Most of the group has travelled to a number of resorts, hands-down liked the PBC the best and said they would come back again.

Just returned from a very relaxing 10 day holiday Beach area was wonderful, sandy, clean. Plenty of sunbeds which are spread out so don’t feel on top of each other Had no problems getting beach towels We had a room by garden area, (217)good choice, as some rooms are a good walk especially if you have mobility issues The BBQ night was amazing. Food good, good selection Ate at Italian and pineapple restaurant Both good Went to Aquarobics most days. The staff member who took it(Fun Queen) was amazing. Good fun and a good workout. Thank you Room a bit tired. AC good. Could have had a separate bed side light Will return.
