  Beautiful beach

  First time to Antigua, beautiful beach, no water shoes required. Apparently they only have seaweed approximately 4 times a year, but unfortunately we had seaweed come in several times during our 10 day stay & it took them a very long time to clean it up, our holiday was over before the seaweed was cleared. Get up very early to get your beach chair! We had some great staff that deserve special mention for their exceptional service, shout out to Maritza, Yolanda & Suzette. I need to mention if you have mobility issues or cardio issues you do not want an ocean view room, the climb is a long and lots of stairs. Food was adequate, you could always find something you could eat. Disappointed with our $40.00 US per person for our steakhouse dinner. Not worth the money, steak was thin & over cooked & served with stone cold potatoes. We would skip going to the Pineapple Grill, food was terrible, server had no personality & they rushed us in & out. We did enjoy the salads, staff & ribs at the Outhouse along with the view. Our check in was anything but smooth, need to work on your process and organization. The age of the guest I think would be 55-65 years old. Night entertainment was varied an pretty good most nights.   Pineapple is an All Inclusive laid back Resort

  This is our first Adults only resort that we have traveled to AN EXCELLENT CHOICE We chose there to celebrate 3 Birthdays Anika John was our concierge since we booked our trip. She made sure our Birthdays celebration was memorable. A Special Thank You Anika Thank you Ann Marie (Fun Queen) for singing a birthday song at the Manager’s cocktail party and also on Karaoke night, you definitely went all out to make our birthdays special Thank you Andijah from Fun Squad, you were amazing for taking us to Devils Bridge and being with us at the Jewelry class Thank you Michael from Fun Squad for being so friendly The Staff at Cafe 1761 were terrific Anita from Events Coordinator was helpful throughout our trip Thank you Thanks to the Managers and the staffs at Pineapple who made our Birthdays a Memorable celebration

  Rest and Relaxation Dream Vacation

  Our experience was between a 3 1/2 and a 4, in the end, it was the people that resonated with us the most and the feeling of relaxation for us to lean to a solid 4. If you’re looking for a resort that provides you serenity with some fun activities, amazing grounds, spectacular views , evening of music or a band with endless drinks and food, this is definitely a place to go. We met quite a few Canadians and US guests. It didn’t matter where you were on the resort when you were walking by staff or a guest, everyone was nodding and saying hello. It truly was such a welcoming feeling. Guests were a bit more mature but regardless of age, it did not damper our experience. We felt everyone was getting along mingling, mixing and having fun. Resort 5/5 Everything is within walking distance the grounds are well kept and clean, there’s three pools with three bars. Pools were immaculate and pretty quiet no music blaring in your ears. If you needed a ride, staff was more than willing to accommodate. Fitness centre was small, but just right. The tennis courts and pickleball courts looked brand new. It is a bit of an uphill walk to get to them. Every day they have lots of activities we did partake in the aqua fitness in the mornings that was so much fun. The street party Friday night by far was the best experience from the steel band to the DJ to the masquerade it was simply spectacular and such a great way to end our week away. Food 3.5/5 Buffet - It was a bit of a hit and miss for us. We found the breakfast and lunch buffet pretty good, a lot of the usual suspects that you would find at other similar types of buffet. A call out to Jo Ann, she makes the best omelet's so personable, she recognizes and remembers your usual order which adds to her attention to the little things. Unfortunately, the dinner buffet was more of a miss for us. Pineapple Grill - We did not enjoy our meal. I had the steak and it’s quite thin. My husband had the pork Wellington and the dough was not cooked. We also felt rushed as once we were seated we needed to order our appetizer dinner and dessert at the same time. Pietro Italian - Simply spectacular. The meal was absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it all. We wish we went here sooner than later as we would’ve done more than once. For the grill and the Italian, you are able to book 48 hours in advance through guest services. We had no issue booking and getting in. Pelican - Love that this was pretty much available all day into the evening and night. We ate nachos, burgers, hotdogs, fish, and chips and pizza. All were pretty decent. Main Bar - A-bit of a wait sometimes, we found that their specialty cocktails were extremely sweet, but they were very accommodating to do different drinks. Cafe 1761 - Was such a fantastic spot to go for snacks and drinks. The detox was refreshing and so delicious every morning. A must try. We tried several of the snacks and different types of drinks and there was not one that we did not like it was fantastic. The barista’s here were phenomenal so friendly. We got to know them personally and after a couple days, they knew what we wanted whenever we dropped in. Wallace, Anita and another girl (Been there 7 years) were fantastic. Outhouse - The view going to the top spectacular. We’ve heard a lot of great reviews, but unfortunately, this was a miss for us. Our chicken was very dry and chewy. However, the salads were fresh and good. Beach 3/5 - The first two days the beach was spectacular. Unfortunately a ton of seaweed came in which took the resort almost 3 days to get ahead of. The workers were really doing their best, but we felt they didn’t have the right tools and resources to get ahead of it sooner than later. The second and third day the smell was not tolerable for us so we were not able to be on the beach. That day was our pool day and that was a lot of fun. Oceanview Room (500s) 4/5 - We found the room to be just right. We enjoyed the feel and look. It was lovely to have such a pristine view of the ocean. However, we did have a couple mishaps during our stay. On the second day, we had no hot or cold water for most of the morning. Mid week, we noticed our screen door wasn’t closing properly so we called the front desk and they noted they would send someone from maintenance but no one ever came. Our checkout day was a day of rain. Regrettably there was a leak which dripped water onto the floor. We did have someone come by to give us a bucket. Hopefully, they were able to fix it after we left. Lastly, the TV needed to be replaced didn’t have much colour at times hard to see. 500s definitely need some love, sounds like this will be a priority when they close for three months later this year for scheduled upgrades. Checkout 3.5/5 - Was seamless for the most part a couple things I wasn’t too keen on. I like the fact that they allow you to review the bill before processing the payment. However, more diligence needed to happen here. For example, I was not to be charged the resort fee and this was captured in the bill, they also charged a charity amount every day for your stay. As much as I love donating, I don’t believe this should have been added to the bill upfront, but more of a conversation during checkout. They did say that they could remove it but I think it should’ve been done differently. Lastly, I was to get a $50 resort credit. I’ll take some responsibility here for not asking enough questions but upon check out, I inquired how I could have used this credit outside of spa and some food. They proceeded to let me know that I could’ve used it at the gift store, which was never provided to me as an option upfront. When I asked if I could do it upon checkout, they told me it was too late. After expressing my concerns, they made an exception and allowed me to go ahead and use the credit. Overall, the people is what made this stay spectacular. We would recommend this to family and friends. Thank you PBC for making our stay memorable

  Relaxing and low stress destination

  The water and beach were beautiful, food and drinks were plentiful at the resort with room accommodations adequate. Definitely recommend a private dinner at the gazebo outlook for a nominal fee if available. It never had the feeling of being over crowded for the resources that they provided. Generally speaking it was a more mature group of people predominantly from Canada, UK and the northern parts of the USA.

  Great Resort!

  Pineapple beach club was an awesome resort. The pool was always clean & the beach was beautiful. They had cool activities included with your stay such as snorkel gear, kayaks and sail boats. The food was good; every night was different. They also had DJs and bands nightly in the bar area. 10 min drive to Devil’s Bridge, which was an awesome view! Overall great trip!
