Honeymoon in Paradise
We were at Pineapple Beach Club for out honeymoon. We booked a beach front room and ended up right next to the ocean in a brand spanking new room. It was beautiful! The employees were amazing, Tricia and Oquenya (spelling?) were always so cheerful!! We only went to one A La Carte at the Italian restaurant and it was delicious!! The BEACH is out of this world, we booked a trip to Shirley Heights with GMan, his office is on the beach, he’s the guy if you want to know something or plan something to do. There is also a barbecue snack place called The Outhouse on the property that is also amazing, the views anywhere on this Island are amazing. The resort was always clean, the only thing lacking was bottles of water so we just kept refilling the small bottles they gave us our first day, there self serve are refill stations at both bars. Next time I’ll take my big 40oz water bottle to fill. The resort itself is beautiful and the beach is what made our stay unforgettable.

Authentically Carribean
From start to finish we had a fantastic time. Came with my partner and parents and there was plenty to do for all of us. The real highlights were the beaches, pools and friendly staff. There is a decent gym, fantastic tennis and pickleball courts and lovely pools. We came in early January and the weather was amazing with a few stormy showers that quickly cleared back into bright sunshine. Other reviews suggest this place is tired and dated, but I would call it authentically Caribbean and full of character. Some hotels can feel sterile and soulless, but the Pineapple beach makes you feel instantly relaxed and there’s no pressure to dress up/dress down - you can wear what you like! Other guests are also very friendly and many people made friends here. The Pineapple Grill is definitely worth a few visits as the food quality is exceptional and it was hard to believe it was still part of the all-inclusive package. The Outhouse bar and grill at the top of the hill was incredible and the ribs at lunchtime are to die for. The buffet restaurant Topaz was slightly basic, but we still found plenty of food to enjoy whenever we went there. My only recommendation is that they mix the music up a bit in the main bar as panpipes have become a real earworm, but it is the Caribbean after all. 5* and we will be back.

An amazing place, absolute BLISS!
Loved it from start to finish. Please ignore dramatic negative reviews!!! The staff here are incredible and I hope management realise what a wonderful job they do. Special shout out to Eiriene (sorry if incorrect spelling) who was just an absolute joy and we looked forward to seeing her. Nicole is also fabulous. The room was lovely, very cosy and clean. The food was good, would highly recommend the pineapple restaurant where the food is great. We especially enjoyed breakfast in the buffet, a vast selection to fit all. The pools are lovely and clean and the beach is UNREAL! Normally we like to do excursions, but we couldn’t drag ourselves away from this lovely chilled hotel. If you are coming, be excited! Thank you for the best holiday :)

Right Trip at the Right Time
We arrived on Christmas Day to a wonderful Caribbean reception. Our taxi driver loved that we were all wearing our Christmas PJ's. The staff was all very helpful. All meals were excellent. We ate once in the Italian Restaurant, twice in the Pineapple Grill and the rest in the main restaurant/buffet. This is our second time to Pineapple Beach. Our first was in December 2020 during covid and our daughter got engaged at Devil's bridge. This time the resort itself was much more fun - more activities, less fear. We were a group of 9 with waterfront rooms. We had no problem getting chairs. It took me a day or two to figure out when to get new towels for the beach. The New Year's Eve party was top notch for our group. Our group did several of the activities, they played pickle ball, volleyball, worked out in the gym, played ping pong, pool, and the daily scheduled activities on most days. We read on the beach, went swimming and did a private boat tour one day. We loved the coffee shop. I was recovering from a broken leg and the size of the resort was perfect for me. We all had a great time and thank all of the staff for making it such a great trip. We will be back.

Great to finally visit Pineapple Beach
Visited with passes while staying at the Verandah, one evening for dinner and one day pass both in Dec 24. First off, we have been to Long Bay many many times over the years and have walked past Pineapple Beach a lot. We have never booked there as it is one of the Islands older resorts and felt it wouldn’t suit us. However…… We were really surprised at how lovely the resort was. We have stayed across the road at the Verandah 4 times now (and at St James Club 5 or 6 times) and when we heard that we could now get day passes to Pineapple Beach, we thought it would be great to finally visit the resort. First pass was for dinner in the Pineapple Grill near reception. Service was great, food was really good and it was lovely that it was open air dining with all the shutters open. The Ambiance was really good with low lighting and a nice bar for pre dinner drinks. Yes it was humid but this is the Caribbean. Over in the Verandah, most of the restaurants are now all shut up, with bright lights and freezing AC. Not at all authentic or what we have come to expect on the Island. Next pass was a day pass. They allow you in at 10:30 till 5pm. And this is where we realised we had been missing a trick for over 20 years by staying in other resorts. To sit on that beach with a drink from the bar? Is paradise. Neither of the two resorts I mention above have beaches anything like this. The sea is the true Caribbean experience, like back when we used to stay on Dickinsons Bay in the 90s. This is what we have been missing. We ate that day in the main restaurant that is right on the beach, again open air. Food was good, service was a tad slow but again, this is the Caribbean. All the staff, restaurant, bar and especially the reception, were excellent. Really welcoming and very interested in how we felt as visitors. Unfortunately, we never got to see in the rooms as only visitors. So…… what is our verdict? I think the next time we visit Antigua? We may well be looking at Pineapple Beach to stay. We were really pleasantly surprised.
