Great 2nd Trip Here! Fantastic Beach!
We came back in 2021, and decided to return for a couples trip this December, 2024 for 8 days. What we really love about this little slice of beauty is the size of the resort and the fun activity staff. Ann Marie & Andi are excellent at what they do! The resort is so tiny, that it's easy to find each other without having to call or make pre-arranged plans. The beach is BEAUTIFUL! Best we've seen on the island! While we love the activities staff, some of the activities could be better, really more of them. Most nights, between 4:30-6:30 (when the restaurants open), you would find a ton of people in the main seating area by the main bar, scrolling on their phones. Last visit it seemed like there were more trivia contests, name that tune, etc during that time frame. That being said, we did win both trivia contests again this trip! The cocktails are fine. I ordered the same specialty 'Grinch on Vacation' cocktail off of their menu, and it was different each day. I'm not picky, so it was fine. The food....it's fine. We have eaten at all of the restaurants, except for the one that you have to pay extra for, and all meals were ok. Topaz, the main buffet restaurant, does have a huge selection of various foods at dinner, so you can pretty much find something that suites you every night. Breakfast was great there, my husband became buddies with the omelet lady & she made him some hollandaise for his eggs bennies the next morning. The Beach BBQ is really a nice event that they put on. Again, lots of different options to eat. I'll end with the beautiful beach, it's dreamy!

A slice of paradise
I'm shocked at some of the poor reviews as we have had the best time. The location is stunning. Get a room in the 700 range with sea views and lovely and quiet and it's not dated or tired. The staff are totally focused on giving you a good time and can't do enough for you. Lovely big smiles from everyone and they work so hard keeping everything clean and tidy. The towels on the sunbeds are annoying when people don't then use them but we've never been short of a sunbed as there's plenty all over the resort. Food in buffet restaurant is varied and very nice. Breakfast is amazing with so much choice. When considering this is 4* I think they do a great job for the money and we've experienced 5* resorts which are less well run and certainly with less friendly staff. I think some people on Trip Advisor must be very hard to please! We would def recommend the place for a week of relaxation and sunshine at reasonable cost.

Great up to now, now too many visitors for the resort to cope with 🙁
It’s been great up to now. An influx of visitors today seems to have put the resort under pressure. They laid on a lovely carnival this evening with a steel band and put on a barbecue and decorated the areas around the main bar which look beautiful. There were large queues for dinner and sadly when we went to eat there wasn’t alot left and it was cold. I’m not a fussy eater so was disappointed with what was left 🙁. The bar area also was finding it difficult to cope. It was whoever shouted the loudest. 🙁

Eventful return
Just returned from 2weeks at Pineapple Beach Club. This is a return visit after 8 years so buckle up cos it’s lengthy. Booked a private transfer on arrival which broke down 10 minutes from the hotel. Waited for 1 hour on a deserted unlit road for a replacement which eventually arrived. On arrival at the resort we relayed this experience and the reception offered me a free spa treatment as compensation. We booked an ocean view room which was at the top of a steep hill reached by about 100 wooden steps or a golf buggy ride. Now I’m a lady of 74 years with osteoarthritis in my leg so this wasn’t ideal. The next day we requested moving and they arranged this the same day so full marks for that. The only room available was a garden view, cheaper than we paid for but a stones throw from the beach so we opted for this. A couple of days later I went to look at the Spa but no one was there so I Left but fell down the steps onto the concrete path. A passing couple picked me up and the resort doctor came to check on me. We had a lovely letter from the resort manager who also phoned a few days later to enquire how I was. The Resort: There was quite a bit of building work going on and they closed the infinity pool for a week. This could perhaps have been done earlier in the year when it was off season. The themed restaurants were ok - we preferred the Italian but the Orchid left us cold. There was a cover charge of $40 per person and wouldn’t say it was worth it. The Topaz buffet was good. Entertainment at night wasn’t very good. A few decent singers would have been an asset. The staff are lovely. Anella on the beach and Kyle were great and Judith and Arlene in Topaz restaurant. The wildlife was amazing. Can’t not mention Marvin on the beach who remembered us. We would recommend this resort to our friends and would definitely go again. The flight back was rubbish. We paid for premier class with Virgin but there was no duty free trolley, drinks offered once then you had to help yourself and the meal was inedible. Mr Branson himself was on the plane in business class so trust his meal was better than ours.

RENOS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED BEFORE GUESTS WERE ALLOWED TO VISIT !
We were told the resort renovations would be completed before we arrived on Nov 1 st. I asked about this just a few days before we left and we were assured there would be no renos taking place and all would be completed. We arrived to find that the buffet was no where near completed and some of the rooms near the Beach area were also not even close to being finished. We arrived on a Saturday and the buffet was finally finished on the Wednesday evening. We were also told we could use their sister resort for dinners as well as use their pickleball facilities at night because they had lights for their courts. Once we arrived we were told no passes to use the courts or the restaurants would be given. We were completely lied to about both of these and we had cancellation insurance that would have allowed us to cancel even the day of the flights had we wanted to do so. We felt we would not need to do that since they said all the renos would be completed. Needless to say we feel very cheated to have paid over 6,000$ for a vacation that was not worth half that amount. Renos were still being completed even after we left so we feel people should be made aware of how poorly this place treats its guests. Once they have your hard earned money they really do not care. It was very unsafe with all the renos being done and feel the whole location should have been closed until the renos were completely finished. In my opinion if you are booking at PINEAPPLE BEACH ANTIGUA please be aware they will not treat you well after they have your money. We were not even allowed to have cans of pop in our rooms, they would give yo some of the can in your glass and they said they were instructed NOT to give out cans to guests. This is an all inclusive and to have pop in our rooms we had to go to the gift shop and purchase it.
