Mar 27, 2025This was my first visit to Waikiki. The hotel was clean and recently updated. Restaurants were good. There was no beach.
We were very disappointed that there was no Beach. Major disappointment. We were asked to move from Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort to the Outrigger Reef Beach Resort because of construction noise. Also, we were supposed to get $200 per day in credit to spend at the Reef for trading hotels which we never received. So the 4 of 5 is for the staff at the hotel. Otherwise I would give this experience a 2 for not telling the truth about not having a beach.

Nice Place
The resort was very clean and our housekeeper Suszanne was precious- always left extra towels. We enjoyed our stay we were celebrating our anniversary (50) however I wasn't aware that the resort offered "vow renewal" till few days prior to our arrival. I found out through Trip Advisor. I called on Tuesday we were arriving on Friday February 28th and was told we would be put on wait list. The renewal is offered on both Tuesday & Friday unfortunately we didn't make the cut. However, Denis the mgr went above & beyond allowing us to remain in our room until our airport shuttle picked up @ 7:45 pm. We were able to enjoy full day at resort and then shower etc before our 11hr flight! Thanks again Denis you are a gem to this resort. Wish we could have thanked you in person but we did appreciate it. Our really only complaint to resort is the need to constantly go down the elevator to fill our big jug of water we purchased at ABC stores. No bottled water provided in room for coffee or drinking :( We like to enjoy several cups of coffee in a.m. on balcony and this was really inconvenient I understand the environment and ecological reasoning. But, when you pay $45. per day for resort fees. From the states we expect unlimited bottled water in room. Also, wish the resort had beach chairs we rented, And, it is $50 per day 2 chairs and umbrella. $40 before 10:00 am. Pool was nice and good wait service. We only dined at Monkey Pod which i reviewed separately. We went off resort for our meals other than breakfast & the light appetizer offered with our Club room. However, you could make a meal with the offerings. It was pretty much same offering every day. Maybe change it up a little. All in all nice place maybe little later entertainment seems everything is done early on resort. But, loved the cleanliness and polite staff. We went for Pearl Harbor and Outrigger provided excellent accommodations.

Our room was spacious and clean. Our housekeeping host Eileen was very sweet and friendly - made us feel so welcome, and efficiently attended to all of our needs. Thanks , Eileen! We had beautiful and delicious breakfasts downstairs at the Monkeypod. Our wait staff was terrific, including fun and friendly Brandon. The resort has a nice and clean workout facility. I was able to do my Jazzercise workout in a dance studio room.

Great place to stay!
The staff was extremely polite and helpful. An example of this was our housekeeper who knew our names and greeted us each day. We were impressed with how clean the resort was and how all employees worked hard to make sure we had the best experience. We would definitely return there again.

Great staff at the resort!
The Outrigger resort was clean and comfortable. The staff were all amazing! From Rick at the front desk to all the valet guys! Our housekeeper, Lily was so friendly and kind. She made sure we had everything we needed every day! Our room was perfect every day! She was excellent! This is a great place to stay and we will visit there again!
