    Wonderful stay

    Wonderful stay. I enjoyed the entire experience, second time around. Will return. Book your tours in the lobby with Larry and JJ. Larry is a biologist and will educate you, customize your trip, and definitely will leave you with a great experience of all excursions. The guides will even take photos of the wildlife for you. Tip well :)

    Hermosas vistas, lejos de ser un hotel de la Cadena Barcelo

    El hotel esta enclavado frente al golfo de Papagayo con hermosas vistas y un diseño colonial muy bonito Al hotel le falta mucho mantenimiento y modernizacion, ( luces de escaleras que no funcionan, transportes para llevar a las habitaciones muy antiguos a combustible y con escalones de mas de 60 cm, dificil para gente mayor o con problemas;TV con solo 4 canales) Una mención es el Buffet su funcionamiento es errático entre aceptable y muy malo, falta supervison Son buenos los restaurantes temáticos El personal es consiente de estos problemas, muy lejos de lo ofrecido por esta cadena en otros Hoteles, muy mala publicidad

    My wife's birthday in Costa Rica

    Spectacular hotel with professional and friendly staff, 5-star facilities, comfortable rooms, friendly and courteous service, a varied and well-prepared restaurant and buffet, a great pool atmosphere, professional waiters and bartenders, and three international restaurants: Italian, Oriental, and a steak house. The hotel is highly recommended and a great place to stay with friends and family.

    Anniversary in Paradise.

    Occidental Papagayo is a true hidden gem of Costa Rica. From arrival to departure we felt like home. Warm welcome from Ismael, quick check in. Personal welcome from the hotel director. Thank you so much. Beautiful room, cleaned daily, thank you Maria Jose. Amazingly delicious food, sometimes on a cool side, still fantastic. Ground beyond gorgeous, even though it was a dry season. Helpful staff, very hard working. Shuttle available in a matter of minutes, just a call away. No need to sweat walking. Great beach, plenty of shade and chairs. Daily entertainment, very relaxing in the lobby which opens to a star lit sky. Massage on the beach was a treat. Thank you Gladys, strongly recommend her. Larry the Tour desk in the hotel super helpful and friendly. Thank you all for all your help, and making it one of the best vacations ever. Thank you Roberto on the beach for many helpful tips.

    Great stay

    Good resort and stay with plenty activities. It is multi level so it is not easy walking but the drivers take you to all our locations.
