Feb 18, 2025A nice slice of paradise!!
This was our first time at this resort and overall the experience was fantastic. Great food and service. Our service was highlighted by two of the main bartenders in the lobby Rene and Oscar. The resort was clean and set up very well. It was an extremely relaxing vacation and would definitely recommend. The one down side if there was one, was making reservations for dinner. Just not a fan of that. But not a deal breaker.

GREAT experience!!
The resort was great with beautiful views, great service and just an overall fantastic experience! There were tons of activities for a good laugh which kept us entertained. The Japanese à la cart is a must. I have to give a shout out to our favourite poolside waiter, Julio Lavios who always had a smile on his face and was so very friendly. We will definitely be back!!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Beds were very comfortable, the most comfortable I've found in our Mexico stays. The ground are very well kept and clean. Food was good- average to a little above average buffet and the specialty restaurants were great. All of the staff were friendly and professional. We did the Royal club for the room size. It was also nice for the pool and restaurant reservations. We found it worth the $ but you can definitely have a completely enjoyable experience without being Royal. The beach is great for walking and splashing in the ocean as with pretty much anywhere in Nuevo Vallarta. Nightly entertainment was hit and miss but you can tell they put a lot of effort into it. Our kids are teens so can't speak to the kid's club. We would definitely return in the future if the cards lined up!

Can’t wait to come back!
This is my second trip to this resort with my 91yr old grandmother and we came back this second time because the staff is simply amazing and very accommodating to her. One particular bartender, Jesus Garcia (Chuy), went above and beyond to assist my grandmother in and out of her lounger whenever he saw us! He treated her like she was family and that meant the world to me! Will definitely be planning a 3rd trip with her soon and look forward to the amazing and kind hospitality from everyone here! Thank you Occidental Nuevo and thank you Jesus Garcia (Chuy) for the amazing service and wonderful experience!

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta
The pool is the perfect temperature. The entertainment staff were fun. The buffets served lots of varied different food so we didn't get tired of what was being served. We totally enjoyed our meal at the Italian and Tokyo restaurant. The hostess ,waiters and, bar staff were very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend this resort.
