Service and quality of the front desk was just okay. We were locked out of our room for three consecutive days and had to wait 30-45 min each time to have the lock repaired. Front desk didn’t care about my complaint. The concierge definitely needed improvement, except for the younger girl with light skin and glasses-she spoke English well and service was top notch! The spa was excellent. The service, cleanliness and friendliness of the spa members were amazing. Lourdes, Fernanda, Lorena and the supervisor were excellent!

Once again we loved our stay at the Occidental! Smaller, easier to navigate, quick responsive elevators, super friendly & helpful staff. We upgraded to Royal and appreciated the extra perks - special pool & beach chairs/beds, extra a la carte reservations, free (excellent!) room service, and especially the Royal Restaurant. My husband has sensory issues so we appreciated a quieter breakfast atmosphere with excellent service from Jesus & team. Can order off the menu or enjoy the small buffet there. It's also our favorite of the evening a la carte locations, though the Japanese experience is excellent too! Big shout out to entertainment team Carlos, Eva & Jesus, who kept us moving in water aerobics & other activities, always enthusiastic & friendly! Beach is fabulous, and the beach massages out front were wonderful! All in all it's our favorite resort to attend for a relaxing R&R type holiday! We recommend it to everyone we know, and can't wait to return

Relaxing Vacation
This was a great place to simplify life for awhile. It was very clean, food was great, pool and beach were perfect, and I had a great time.

I had higher expectations on this hotel. I will never used them again. The good: beds are very comfortable, I never sleep good in hotels rooms, but these ones were excellent. The bad: No service at all, it took at least an hour to check in, and we were in royal level, only one person available to check in. The food in the buffet was average, the tacos, fruit, and dessert were the best part. Do not recommend the Mexican restaurant, Los olivos and Tokio were very good. Overall, I had stayed in much better hotels, I’m going back to those.

Cant say was a good New years experience they stop serving food at 1030pm and we had to ordee paid room service because nothing was served past 1030pm normal dinner instead a better onw for been on New years eve... I wouldn't go back to this hotel and I was with my 16 and 12 year old kids and my partner and 2 other friends...
