    Lovely Resort

    Layout, shady grounds, rooms, food, service all very good. Only issues are inflexible management (wouldn’t correct simple mistake on booking), and their lack of attention to co-existing with the local wildlife.

    Occidental does it again!

    The best resort in Cozumel!!! Beautiful place with amazing and friendly staff. They’ve become like family to us. This is my third time staying, and I’ll keep coming back!

    Relaxing vacation

    We stayed in the Royal section. We were taken by golf cart when we arrived to the Royal section to a private check in desk in the Royal section. There we were greeted with a welcome drink and snacks. In our room there was a welcome fruit plate and a bottle of wine. The room was large, clean and everything worked. The bathroom was huge well appointed with shower and tub and toiletries. Closet had plenty of hangers, house coats, safe, iron and cushions for the deck chairs. Bed was a king and extremely comfortable. TV was 50 inch. We had full wifi and didn't even have to sign in. The coretta restaurant for Royal guests was amazing. Thanks to Rogelio for looking after our every dining need. Arranged a special meal for us made exactly to our requests outside of the usual menu. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was also a small pool in the Royal section. There was an adult pool. The main pool was right near the beach with a great view and bar service. Dive shop was there as well. A restaurant at the beach that was a buffet at lunch and seafood (excellent) at dinner. The other restaurants were by the main building. The buffet was open for breakfast and dinner. Mediterranean (excellent) and Mexican. Entertainment was in the main square at 9 and night club started at 10:30. The resort as a whole is small (247 rooms) It is very accessible. Only steps are down to the beach that I noticed. There were a couple of guests using handicap scooters. The resort is very tropical. We had a nice relaxing week.

    Beautiful resort with great staff

    This is the second time here and we loved it. The grounds are beautiful and impeccable. We stayed at the Royal level and it was well worth the additional cost. The restaurant La Carretta was fantastic. The good was delicious and beautifully presented. Yazmin Mac and her staff Claudia and Jorge made every meal special. For our last meal Yazmin had chef Pedro Chan prepare a special traditional Mexican meal that was absolutely delicious. We ate at the specialty restaurants every night (a perk of being in the Royal section) and enjoyed all of them The staff everywhere were friendly and helpful We will be back
