General Policies & Fine Print
Check-in Policy - Hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds.
Convention Policy - Individuals attending a convention cannot book this property for their stay. If found attending a convention, guests may be subject to higher room rates upon arrival.
Hotel Spring Break Policy - The hotel will not accept any Spring Break groups. If the hotel does make an exception the following policy will be strictly applied: Students / youth are considered by the hotel as anyone between 16 and 23 years old. They will be required to sign a responsibility letter agreeing to leave the hotel if there is a disruption. Upon check in each student / youth will be required to leave cash deposit of $400 per person - no exceptions and cash only. Minimum age requirement for hotel check in is 18. Any guests under the age of 18 will require a chaperone. 1 chaperone is required per 3 students / youth under the age of 18. Minimum age for a chaperone is 28.
Legal drinking age in the DR is 18. Any guests under 18 will be given a wrist band that will not allow them to have access to alcohol at any venue and will also not allow them in the disco. All guests are required to wear wristbands. The cost for a lost wristband is $250 - no exceptions. The hotel does reserve the right to ask any student / youth to check out of the property if the hotel policies are not fulfilled without the right to a refund for the remaining nights of the reservation.
Transfer Policy - A price may display when children stay free, if your vacation includes transfer to your hotel.
General Information - Room taxes and service fees are included in vacation price.

***Important Information for our guests***
The Dominican Republic imposes various restrictions each year for Easter. The restrictions usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday, and run a few days past Easter Sunday. The following regulations may be enforced:
*Motorized watersports may be banned
*Non-motorized water sports may be limited, or banned
*Alcohol consumption may be restricted (most resorts obtain a special permit which enables them to serve alcohol to nonnative persons during the ban)
*Music may be limited or silenced
These guidelines are currently vague because actual enforcement by the local government does vary greatly from one year to the next. Each year the actual policies are not published by the local authorities until just prior to Easter. These rules are designed for the safety of everyone, as beaches get extremely busy during this period.

I dont think that I can honestly recommend this property to anyone until changes or renovation occurs. Most staff cant speak English. No access to bottled water in restaurants and bars. The bed sheets and bath towels were old. The TV never worked. The in room safe never worked and we were unable to use. The food was good but basically the same thing each night. Water was offered at bars and restaurants but it was ONLY in a dispenser but not bottled. The only gift shop at the resort sold me a Hersheys Almond bar for $5. Yes, I still have the receipt.

From the first day upon arrival 13th at the reception we were attended by Greysi who was very attentive in her work. We also enjoyed the entertainment group at the pool especially Darian’s performance and diplomatic behaviour. Thank You!!

Great Service
Great service. Cindy was awesome, gave us her number and told us to WhatsApp her with any questions. We did and she helped with our excursion, minor room issue, and airport transfer. The views were gorgeous and walking the beach was very peaceful. Would definitely go back again.

The animation team for sure
My family had an amazing time at this hotel, but what actually made it great was the animation team. Inma is really the best, she cared for us and our family. The way they treated me and my family was amazing. Never a dull moment I really want to go back as soon as possible just to see them.

My Name is Christopher Sabino Lopez: My family and me had a great time at the Occidental Caribe. For me was one of the best short vacations me and my family had. The hotel needed a renovation at all. however, the food was amazing, the bars, the pizzeria it is one of the best pizzas I ever had. We have the chance to make reservations in two of the restaurants they have in the resort. The beach is Gordier OMG, the pools are great they have for kids and adults. the activity they do at the pool is enjoyable. the snacks around the pool great. they also have a beautiful entertainment at night for all public and earlier one for kids. one of the best entrainments they have is in the Lobby of the hotel: live music, Karaoke the Disco is nice with greater DJ with all time of music to have fun. beside other things this hotel is good. I will recommend this hotel to anyone who want to have a great time with their family and friends, remember you make the Vacation at your need.
