Excellent
The whole experience was very pleasant, from the reception, to the parking. All the staff were competent and friendly. I felt special at all times, with little treats that made all the difference. A very technological hotel without losing the human warmth.

Very convenient location
This hotel has very convenient location. It is within walking distance of French Quarter, Outlet mall, and other shoppings. The room we booked was cleaned. The TV did not work, but it was fixed after I contacted the front desk. I would suggest the hotel post a simple visual sign be the elevator to show guests how to use the elevator to avoid confusion. I had a great time at New Orleans.

Noisy elevators
I have stayed here numerous times (at least 8 times for Mardi Gras weekend). The most recent was terrible. The room was fine, clean and a great view of the river, but I had the worst night's sleep ever. The elevators (which were not next to us, so I feel for the occupants of the rooms that were directly next to the elevator) were incredibly noisy. I have a video--it was clanking around (which also made me nervous). It sounded like construction work all night long. We were there for Mardi Gras, so obviously didn't expect it to be quiet and calm. The parades outside went very late and that noise was not a problem at all---the elevators were so loud that when we first arrived during the day, we actually thought it was construction as it was loud clanking/banging., metal scraping.... did not sound like an elevator. Had we been in the room longer when we first checked in we would have requested to move. We only realized it was the elevators when we came back late in the evening with tired children and went straight to bed. (but I was woken up at least 4 times throughout the night). Also, the pool was closed the first day we were there, which was disappointing as it was very warm. FYI, I live in Manhattan, and am used to noise at night--so for something to wake me up--it is VERY loud.

Great Location
Solid Marriott property with a great location. I went with my family for Mardi Gras parades and the location couldn't have been better! It gives you easy access to the French Quarter as well as the CBD. The lobby is beautiful and looks like it has been recently renovated. The room while older was extremely clean.

Good hotel
Good hotel, quick elevators, very good location. There are cable cars that pass right in front and take you to different parts of the city, such as City Park, Audubon Park, War Museum, etc. The room is good and has good acoustics. There are food options in the hotel hall. A convenience, a starbucks, a main restaurant and a hamburger. Since I was with kids, it was very convenient. The pool was also well used by the children in the days I was at a congress. The only negative point is the delay at the reception. I got to one conference and there was another going on. Many people check in and check out, which can take more than 30 minutes. For those who have made an international trip it is quite tiring. They were helpful when I needed to clarify some doubts, before and during the stay.
