Great hotel to stay in Madrid.
I visited Madrid in 9/20/24 and stayed here for 2 days. Loved this hotel which is conveniently situated close to the shopping area and La Plaza Mayor. Is close but not too close to this beautiful bustling city. if you walk to the back streets you can find restaurants that had very good menus and it was great to eat with friends. Is those small places that are wonderful because that are away from the craziness. Loved it and it is perfect to me. My room had a a bit of the view to the street but is okay. The bed and furniture were great and comfortable. (One of the comfiest bed I had ever slept on). I wasn’t a fan of the bathroom. The bar and bartender were great. The restaurant was awesome and loved the food. It was an overall very very good experience. Loved my experience in Madrid and would love to go back there again. That’s a definite.

Great hotel for a weekend break
If you want a great hotel in Madrid with high standards where all the staff strive to provide a good 5* service, close to some of the cities top attractions, stay here. We could not fault anything about our long weekend stay and were delighted with our decision to upgrade and enjoy the LEVEL upgrade service. Nice views of the city from the high level rooms allocated. The use of the quieter private lounge area was very welcome after a day touring the city. Taking breakfast here was also a good start to the day and complimentary drinks and snacks in the afternoon/early evening all added to a relaxing break. We didn't get to use the pool and spa, but other guests said they were excellent. Room rates/prices were very reasonable for these standards. We would stay here again.

Good value 5* hotel
Warm welcome from the moment we arrived. Smooth check in. Room was ready early, clean and well appointed. Great views from 10th floor towards palace. Breakfast plentiful. Good location for palace and other attractions. Fair price for a 5 star experience. Highly recommended.

Absolutely NOT 5 star (2 on a good day)
Far from a 5-Star Experience Meliá Princesa Madrid is a hotel that claims 5-star status but fails to deliver on almost every front. The decor and furniture are visibly damaged and outdated, and the room design seems to lack any consideration for guest comfort. Lighting resembles that of a low-grade hospital—cold and uninviting. Noise from connecting rooms is constant and disruptive, and the bathrooms are poorly designed to the point of inconvenience; one must sit sideways on the toilet due to the odd placement of a sliding glass door. Despite upgrading to the hotel’s “best room” for a five-day stay, I found myself repeatedly disappointed. The WiFi barely worked, and the hotel even charges 4 euros for a tiny bottle of water, a clear sign of misplaced priorities in a supposedly luxury establishment. The only highlights were Daniel at the front desk and Jose and Antonio at the bell desk, who showed true professionalism. However, their kindness can’t redeem the hotel’s fundamental issues. I wouldn’t recommend Meliá Princesa Madrid to anyone—certainly not at this price, or even for free. Look elsewhere for a genuine luxury experience.

Thumbs up! Would definitely return here!
Great hotel and great location! We will definitely return! Had a Junior Suite and it was amazing. Loved the Level Lounge as well. Really, really liked our stay here. Nice staff as well. Close to metro as well. Nice decor in lobby and room. Loved the large 2 person shower in the suite.
