    Activities

Iris was an amazing activities leader. We stretched everyday with her and even participated in some of the evening events. Thank you for making our experience so wonderful! We truly enjoyed every moment at Meliá. We leveled up and appreciated our room. The food was delicious and Alfonso was very helpful. We hope to return one day!

    Amazing Family Week Away

I wanted to write a review because I really enjoyed other's reviews before we left. So hopefully mine can help a few people. First of all, let me say we had an amazing vacation. We would highly suggest the Melia, I feel Mexico in general great bang for your buck. The beach and sand is beautiful, we liked that the resort was smaller oppose to a massive one. The pools are a bit chilly but very clean. Our room had a gorgeous view of the kids pool and out into the ocean. My only complaint of the whole week is that the beds are doubles, not queens! If you want a King bed I think you need to book in the Level Tower. The grounds are pristine, the employees work so hard and keep it so clean. We thought the food was amazing, both the snack bars and buffet. If you want to book the restaurants do it the day you arrive. We ate at The Fish House which was my fav but my family loved Tacos and Mexican. The tortilla soup is especially good! You can take a ferry to Playa. It is $10 to get downtown to catch the Ferry and about $60 each way for a family of 4. We went to a Cenote while on the main land-highlight of the trip. We also did some local shopping at both downtown Coz and Playa. So much to see and do. Would return in a heart beat. OH and walk down to the resort to the left, the water is out of a magazine and the snorkelling is incredible. Don't worry about the weather or the bad reviews, this place is paradise.

Superior all inclusive on Cozumel Island

This is a superior mid size resort. Very well run, comfortable with excellent service throughout. Nice Caribbean access for swimming and snorkeling. Top flight liquors and bar experience. My only complaint is that the buffet (3x daily) is rather repetitive and boring. Yucatecan cuisine is very different from Southwest Mexican food. Not much seasoning, very little cheese, unknown salsas and stews. Sometimes Overcooked meats. Breakfast is best —including omelets, fresh fruit, and salads. I would suggest making reservations at all three specialty restaurants (no extra charge) or occasionally taking a taxi into town where there are lots of excellent restaurants. Be sure to ask if your choice of room is in a building with an elevator. I neglected to do this, but they changed my room at the last minute because I can’t walk stairs.
