Punta Cana was great. Cozumel was horrible. I assumed they would be on the same level but was sadly mistaken. The food was horrible. I feel bad because I'm sure the chefs are doing the best with what they're given. Lack of variety at the buffet. Tiny 2oz piece of dried up chicken for a meal. The Caesar salad at the snack bar consisted of about a half a cup of lettuce, and three shredded strings of chicken. It almost looked like it was a joke. I'm not a foodie or even a picky eater, but the offerings at the buffet were so limited and uninspired. The people were great. Very friendly and helpful. The resort itself is old, small and tired. The beach is fantastic which is unusual for this area of Cozumel. Usually it's rocky but this was beautiful.

This is what an all-inclusive should thrive for! Excellent service, excellent restaurants and food, an actual concierge that cares about your stay and doesn’t try to push for something else, everything from the hospitality to the buffet to the a la carte restaurants have been awesome! Special shout out to Jorge and Willy (from the Taco restaurant) Rosa and Ernesto (from the Mediterranean restaurant), Angelica (Spa) and Alfonso (Concierge) who have made the stay truly special, would 100% look to do more vacations in Meliá-hotels.

The resort is beautiful and loved the smaller resort. The Buffett lacks variety and could tell things were used over and over again. Same foods each day. Activities were nearly nonexistent. The light show was horrendous. The magic show was great. Other night light was all including the guests so no shows being presented.

Get away for two.
The resort and beach were great. Ensure you learn about the Level up at this resort - I recommend it. In includes an exclusive beach/cabana/drinks served to you at your beach chair. It also gave you guaranteed reservations at their specialized restaraunts, 2 reservations for the cabana's. The food for us was OK not exceptional because the buffet lacked variety. The Taco restaraunt was great food and service. Our rooom was great with beach view. The beach and water area was great! The location was close to down town with a scooter or car rental. Taxi was available but total cost you are better off renting a car. We rented through HTL Rentals . Highly recommend renting a car and driving the Island yourself. Then you can also ckeck out the Blue taco truck near the cruise ship port.

Melia Cozumel is great. Such great staff. Oswaldo April Iris in activities, Wait/food staff Jesus Alberto Jose Maximillo Gilberto others too and the main boss. Bar staff and Mole staff excellent. Room staff were exceptional. Very satisfied!
