    Disappointed

It's a fine hotel but this time round the restaurant in my opinion was poor Choice of food was very poor compared to recent visits Pork on the menu everyday cooked in different ways happy with fish but you can't eat fish everyday on day there was veal but it was undercooked in my opinion and tough stringy but on the last day as my wife predicted the night before was burgers I lost it seriously I paid almost 2000 for the 2 of us 7 days no chicken on the menu at all no wonder the hotel was quieter than previous visits such a shame

    2 Night Stay in Torremolinos

Stayed here 2 nights with a tour great beach location most rooms overlook the ocean friendly staff front desk and breakfast area beds were comfortable bathroom was nice room had a nice balcony we stayed here in April it was not hot but wanted to cool the room down and the air conditioning was not working the front desk said it was winter which it was actually spring and A/C would not get turned on until the summer each hotel guest should get to control the temperature of their room whether it is spring summer winter or fall was not too pleased with that otherwise it was ok

Not a relaxing stay which I had hoped for

Beautiful hotel in a central location to everything Check in was smooth and receptionist very friendly Our room was on the 1st floor with a great view of pool and beach but extremely noisy and not from the road side …from outside our hotel room door from 7am right through the day it was non stop people talking loud and the housekeeping staff constantly ringing the bell (we love a siesta in the afternoons and we counted 5 times the bell ringing within a 30 min period) on top of that we had people moving chairs continuously in the room above us . We don’t enjoy the pool usually on holidays we like to get up have breakfast go for a long walk after do some sightseeing then back for a siesta but never got one as it was so noisy . Breakfast was very well organised we enjoyed that and the staff very friendly . For me as much as the housekeeping staff were very friendly they ruined our stay as they are very noisy and should be mindful of other guests resting. I wouldn’t book again for this reason which is a shame.

Great hotel, spa area lets it down

This hotel is definitely one of the nicest in the area which is obvious when walking along the beach. We only used the pool on the rooftop and we sadly didn’t have great weather so didn’t have to run for any sunbeds. The cocktails at the bar on the rooftop were 10/10, we spent an evening up there which is beautifully lit up. It’s just a shame that the sound system dips in and out a lot up there so the music isn’t the greatest. We had a slight issue when arriving at the hotel as the room was made up for 2 not 3, we were told a 3rd bed would be brought up which it was, we were told housekeeping would be round shortly to make the bed. When we got back from our evening out at 23:30 there was no bedding in sight, we called reception multiple times and eventually it was sorted. The next day Carmen personally called us to apologise about the situation and even offered us dinner in the restaurant that evening to apologise. Brilliant customer service. The housekeeping staff were faultless, even tidying all of our toiletries we left around. The restaurant across the road (part of the hotel) was so nice, the paella was perfect, make sure you reserve the more private dining sections. Due to the bad weather we treated ourselves to the spa and massage, very reasonable price, spa could have done with some calming music etc and the deck chairs were a bit random but all very clean. We booked all 3 of us in for massages on the Sunday one after the other with a really helpful lady on the spa desk, I think her name was something like Pilar… she spoke very good English. My friend went first for her massage, the lady ran in late still putting her name badge on, she made my friend undress with her still in the room and must have been able to see her as she was promoting her to take off the next item of clothing (she did not stay in the room for myself and my other friend), she then did a massage for 20 minutes out of the 55 minutes it was booked for and rudely told her that’s it done and to put her clothes on. The lady left the room then must have been informed it was actually the full body not half so she came back in and made my friend undress in the room once again with her standing there. The actual massages were good, the room didn’t feel very relaxing, lacking the darker lighting, there wasn’t any aromatherapy smells, the speaker was crackling the whole time which was off putting and the whole hotel has Ritual products throughout even in the toilets, the spa sells the products but they don’t use the products for the massage, there was no smell at all to the oil used and it was very thick and greasy. I would say the massage area does not fit with the high standards of the rest of the hotel. Overall it was a great stay, room was lovely and the placement of the balcony was ideal, perfect location for exploring along the beach and multiple sunbathing spots to choose from, breakfast had lots of choice. Just a shame about the spa and massage area as it seems they do get a lot of guests using it. Staff were nothing but helpful when we had to enquire about anything so cannot fault them.

Not as good as last year

We are still here at the moment so thought I’d write a review of our experience so far On arrival we went straight to the checkin desk Very unwelcoming and took the lady around 25 minutes to check us in We were given two rooms on same floor but I had asked for rooms to be quite near but that wasn’t the case Our room was 1861 Completely no sun whatsoever from morning till night Not the best of rooms The cleaner did a great job each day and even left a note with 5 € to say she found it in our bin The pool areas were never too busy as was the top pool area The food was ok for me but my partner is a vegetarian so I asked the manager just for pizza ( no meat ) or more vegetarian options It was the same for the next few nights Then the main chef came out and said he would make a vegetable pizza which she had and other guests were getting stuck in as with the vegetable dish they made which turned out to be quite popular It’s a shame they just don’t do a margarita pizza and a few more vegetable dishes Apart from this it was a nice to eat here We visited here last year and think it is not as good Some of the staff on reception and in the did Dining area are a bit miserable Is this because we are British and this is catered more for the Spanish Overall our stay up to now is ok But we will not be visiting fo while
