Relax!
Spectacular resort! Beautiful grounds- including the many pools, some with swim up bars. The soft, white sand beach is directly in front with easy access and many cabanas, lunge chairs and a bar. The staff- excellent! From the bartenders to to the wait staff, groundskeepers, transportation and housekeeping- professional, friendly and hard working. Leo, our butler, was wonderful! He checked in on us, provided what we asked in a very timely manner, explained things to us and made suggestions. He was kind, patient and friendly, while maintaining his professionalism. Request to be in his area if you can, he goes above and beyond! Our room was beautiful and large with a well stocked bar, fresh, soft large towels and a very comfy beds. Patio was lovely, with a hot tub that we never used. The bathroom area is open, so no door to the tub/sink area. For friends it was slightly awkward, but we were able to give each other privacy. Shower and toilet have doors, but again, the wall dividing the bathroom from the living area, is open. The food was very good, we especially enjoyed Mar House, both for dinner and buffet.Il Boccaccio was very good. Flavors had a good variety. Kabuki was disappointing only because we waited about 45 minutes until our order was taken, perhaps short staffed and it was in the evening. The food was good and the waiter did his best. We were there for a wedding, so stayed on property and didn’t do any excursions. We did the airport transfer, which was very good, especially our driver from the resort to the airport. He name is Jabon (spelling?) who worked for Aventour, and he was fantastic. He is a good tour guide and answered questions we had along the way. He said his English wasn’t good, but we thought he did great and used his google translator as needed. We enjoyed riding with him very much. I would highly recommend this resort if you’re looking for all inclusive, clean, relaxing, beautiful location. And if you enjoy alcoholic beverages- you’ll love it even more.

Just Ok
This was my second visit to this resort. The first time was more enjoyable. The second visit was just okay. Upon arrival the check in bellman could not locate my name on the guest list. I kept trying to give my confirmation number but this went on for about 10 minutes until I walked off to the front desk where they easily located my reservation. This small hiccup was quickly resolved. The resort was nice. The staff at the pools and restaurants were amazing. Special thanks to our butler Michelle!!!! She was amazing. The Italian restaurant and the Hibachi were our favorite. The steak restaurant was terrible. The spa was absolutely gorgeous!!! Now entertainment. There really was not going on during our stay and that was disappointing. When I visited in July there was a nightly DJ at the bar and there was karaoke nights. There were also nightly shows. During this stay there was no dj, karaoke and barely any shows. It was HIGHLY disappointing! We were visiting with another couple for their birthday and this trip left a lot to be desired. I am not sure if the entertainment aspect was lackluster due to the occupancy but that really shouldn’t matter. Upon check out there was a charge to my room for a bottle of wine from the french restaurant that I did not visit. It took some time to get that issue resolved. Needless to say my arrival and departure experience was not good. Overall I have experienced way better trips. Not sure if I would return.

Our second trip there!
Everything was great despite the random chilly weather. The food was great. The best I’ve had at an AI. We especially loved Avalo at the hibachi. At the pool bars, Manual, Jose, Isai, Abraham plus many more were all very attentive, personable snd kind. Claudia at the sky bar was great as well. All the men at piano bar were very attentive. I hate that I didn’t get their names. They make amazing espresso martinis and should also be mentioned. The poolside entertainment team including Oliver and Jaime were engaging even though many activities had to be altered bc of weather. We also enjoyed the bands in the evenings Our housekeeper, Nancy, did a wonderful job and was very sweet when we needed to use the room while she was cleaning. Our butler, Eduardo did an amazing job. Was very attentive and made us feel very special. This was our second time back at this resort (group of 12 first time and 8 this time) and we will definitely be back.

Beautiful and Relaxing Hotel
FULL REVIEW (Female, 23 y/o) ✨ Check-in: 🏨 The check-in process was quite long (about an hour), but the staff apologized, and we were provided with a room offering food and drinks, which made the wait more comfortable. They also took care of our luggage, so we didn’t have to carry it to our room, which was a nice touch. Entertainment: 🎤🎶 If you’re under 50, you might not find the entertainment particularly exciting. They had themed nights like Michael Jackson night and 80s night, but the only truly enjoyable one was the fire show. 🔥 The daytime activities were not the most entertaining and, honestly, a bit cringe at times. The “adult” section is more about tranquility than fun, so if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, this hotel is a great choice. However, if you’re into lively pool parties and social events, this might not be the best fit. Room: 🏊♀️🛁 We stayed in an adult section swim-up room with a jacuzzi, which turned out to be essential due to the chilly, rainy weather. 🌧️ The room itself was phenomenal—comfortable beds, a shower, and two toilets. However, it’s worth noting that the room design is very open, with little privacy, making it more suitable for couples. 💑 The minibar was fully stocked with drinks and snacks, and our package included four full-size bottles of alcohol (gin, rum, champagne, and one of our choice). Honestly, it was a bit excessive, especially with the bar right in front of our room at the pool. 🍹 Restaurants: 🍽️ • Steakhouse: 🥩 Absolutely incredible—the best ribeye I’ve ever had. The filet mignon, however, was just okay. • French restaurant: 🇫🇷 As a French person, I can confidently say it was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it. 😣 • Japanese restaurant: 🍣 Very good, but make sure you enjoy fish. • Mexican restaurant: 🌮 Also amazing! The burritos and steak tacos were delicious. • Italian restaurant: 🍝 Pretty underwhelming with boring choices. I played it safe with lasagna, but it wasn’t good at all. 👎 • Flavours (buffet): 🥐 Breakfast was incredible, with so many options that I looked forward to it every morning. ☀️ Lunch was also good, offering plenty of salads and fried foods. Dinner had a wide variety, so you’re bound to find something you like. • Mar House: 🦐 Since I don’t like seafood, I skipped it for dinner, but lunch options were similar to Flavours, so I just went to whichever was closer. Staff: 👏 We were assigned a butler, Aron, who was extremely helpful. I loved that I could text him via the app anytime I needed something or wanted to make a reservation—this should be a standard in more hotels! 📲 All the staff we interacted with were friendly and patient, even when dealing with difficult guests (mostly Americans and Quebecois). Their professionalism was impressive. No matter where you are sitting in the resort, someone will take care of you for drinks, which made the experience feel even more luxurious and effortless. 🍾🍹 Drinks: ☕🍸 All the bars were great, but my favorite was the coffee bar near the front. The seating area was cozy, and the iced caramel lattes were amazing. 😍 Be aware that the drinks are quite strong, so if you’re a lightweight like me, pace yourself! ⚠️ My go-to drinks were strawberry mojitos and spiced rum & coke. Beach: 🏖️ Due to the weather, we didn’t spend much time at the beach, but it was one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. It wasn’t overcrowded, and there was plenty of space everywhere—no one fighting for chairs, which was incredible. 🌊 Excursion – Go Majestic (Isla Mujeres & Scuba Diving): 🚤 We booked a trip to Isla Mujeres, including scuba diving, but unfortunately, the diving was canceled due to bad weather. ⛈️ It was disappointing that no compensation was offered, especially since we booked it mainly for that. We were asked multiple times if we were sure about going despite the weather, and we eventually signed a waiver acknowledging the conditions. Once on the island, there was no transportation provided, so we had to pay for a tour taxi ($80 USD) or rent a golf cart (where you’re fully responsible for any damage). 🚕💰 This additional cost wasn’t communicated when booking, which was a letdown. That said, the island’s beach was beautiful. The excursion isn’t refundable, but you can reschedule if the weather is bad. Coco Bongo: 🎉 Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Coco Bongo booking due to a family emergency, but I was grateful that they processed a refund since I canceled 24 hours in advance. 🙏 Overall: This hotel is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing stay, but if you’re looking for excitement and nightlife, you might want to consider other options. 🌴✨
