Jan 29, 2025Honeymoon at Majestic Colonial, Punta Cana
Had a fantastic honeymoon at the Majestic Colonial. The hotel and grounds are extremely beautiful and well taken care of. Our room was spacious and very clean. Lots of dining choices and delicious food. The beach was fabulous with fine white sand and crystal clear water in gorgeous aquamarine and turquoise colors. The swimming pools were huge, immaculate, and had swim up bars. We got a couples massage at the spa. A big surprise was the high quality entertainment each night with talented singers, musicians, and dancers. A phenomenal magic show one evening. And a special bonus was our own butler, Julio, who graciously took care of dinner reservations, booking excursions, answering any questions, or just being our own ‘guardian angel’. Can’t wait to return! Would rate this resort 10/10.

Not as good as last few times, my wife was sick.. She doesnt drink, so it wasnt the alcohol. There were several others in the pool who also complained of being sick. We found the buffet by the beach at lunch to not have as much selection of meats as our last visit. We were disappointed. They fired all the entertainment staff so they were all new, there were a couple who were great, Christina and another guy, but the others were unengaging, especially giovani or whatever his name is, walks past you in the morning, you say good morning and he ignores you.. wow, thanks... Most of the bartenders are great ! Shout out to Alejandro at the adult bar, and the girl who used to work there but works at the beach now... Next time I think we try the elegance. Just returned from the Elegance in Costa mujeres, and it was great, food quality was far superior to the Colonial in Punta Cana. Drink quality at the colonial is not top shelf, its lower end quality wise, but adequate. Bed sleep quality was good, room was clean, air worked great.. One thing someone told me was that since the toilets were so far from the pool, most people just pee in the pool, I found this disgusting.. It is a long walk to go pee, but I did every time.. Sad that people do this.

Amazing!!
Amazing trip! Such a good resort and a great time with fantastic friends! It truly is the staff that makes this place special! Shout out to our great butler Juan de Leon! Catherine and July, Black Diamond and Melvin went way above expectations!

Jan 28, 2025Fourth Time and Disappointed
Check in took forever. Only when finally bringing us to our room in the club section were we informed we could not get in our room until tomorrow so had to stay in another room for one night. TV did not work in the temp room. No coffee to be found in the morning. Coffee pot is broken in nearest restaurant. So far this has not been the positive experience that brought us back a fourth time. So disappointed and sad.

Fantastic Staff
This was our first time staying at a Majestic resort, and our second all-inclusive vacation. Having traveled extensively, including cruises, we have a pretty good sense of what to expect. Overall, we were really impressed with the friendliness of the staff. They seemed to genuinely enjoy having guests around, and we were greeted with smiles or a friendly "hi" almost everywhere we went. We want to give a special thanks to the team at Majestic Colonial Punta Cana for making our stay memorable. They truly went above and beyond in providing us with attentive and warm service, and we look forward to returning and seeing them again. Alexander@Le Gourmet: He was always smiling and super attentive to our needs. The service he provided to us and his care every time made a significant difference in our experience. Riquermy and Junior@Le Gourmet: These two are awesome! They brought so much positive and fun energy. Darleny and Miladis@The Cafe Mirage: These two ladies are the best! We visited them daily (many times more than once), and they always went out of their way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. They were always happy to see us, even when it was busy. They made the most delicious coffees, healthy drinks, and milkshakes too! We wish them all the best – they truly made our stay better. Willnier@Butler Service: He checked on us daily and made sure we had everything we needed. However, we do have some feedback on areas for improvement. While the drinks were consistently great, the food experience was more inconsistent. As food lovers, we were especially excited for Dominican night at one of the buffets. Unfortunately, the food was overly salty and did not taste good. We ended up having to waste most of it. We really don’t like wasting food, so it was disappointing. That said, on other nights at the buffet, the food was fairly decent, so we know it’s possible to do better. We just feel that if the food could be more consistent in flavor and quality, it would make the experience much better and reduce food waste. We hope this feedback helps, and overall, we had a great stay!
