Breakfast Review
Saturday Nov 16, 2024. Joined hotel platinuum-level guest friend for breakfast in the lobby restuarant before day of sightseeing. English breakfast for two, coffees, bread/croissants. Food was shabbily presented on the plate and of poor quality, not cooked well, The bacon was close to raw, eggs were on the runny side. Croissants/breads stale, certainly been around for more than 24 hours. Service was poor with only one staff member working the breakfast area. The concierge/club room is on the lower ground floor at the back which we visited later to find no offerings other than refrigerator of bottled sodas and a single coffee machine, no snacks / fruit / nibbles.

Wonderful hotel stay in London
Just returned from London where our hotel was the Marriott London Hotel Kensington. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were so friendly and really cared about their guests. They were constantly asking if we needed anything in any way. The room was very comfortable and very quiet even though we were on a busy street. Bathroom was very modern with a shower only which is much easier than stepping into a bathtub. Our room was always done up quickly and it was spotless. They have a restaurant which served a huge and delicious breakfast. We also had dinner here and the food and service were excellent. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Great Stay at the Marriott
I've lost count of how many times I have stayed at the Kensington Marriott, it was my go-to for business travel for many years. It's in a great location, with lots of transport options, museums, parks, pubs, markets, etc. within walking distance. This was a leisure trip, the first leg of our 40th wedding anniversary vacation. I had informed the hotel in advance, and they very kindly upgraded my room including a lovely hand-written note, flower petals and a tin of (really delicious!) shortbread. Check-in was seamless, my Titanium status acknowledged. Our room was quiet, bed was comfortable. The bathrooms are small at the Kensington, but have been updated. I really enjoyed the L'Occitane amenities and they have great, fluffy towels. I was very happy to see that breakfast had been moved back (from the executive lounge) to the Cast Iron Restaurant since my last stay. They do a great job in the restaurant, excellent service and plentiful choices of food. I particularly like that you can get eggs cooked to order. We also used the Executive Lounge in the evenings, at least stopping by for a drink before going out. Or even making an evening meal of the offerings one night. I'm sure I will be back at the Kensington Marriott. It's a solid hotel in a great location. The staff are helpful and friendly, it's a place where a solo female business traveler can feel quite comfortable.

Not the best Marriott experience
Not the best Marriott hotel i stayed at. The room seems good enough. I didn't particularly like the shower. The bed was good enough to sleep on. The staff was friendly. The breakfast there is good but I was confused when the butter ran out they said they couldn't refill it? So down marks for that. The location is okay but not the best...bit too far from places except for the museum. Three star hotel...I would give 3.5 stars but here we are.

Being polite should be a basic requirement for reception staff (!)
Visited recently the hotel, nice location and facilities. Disappointed at reception staff though (not all ---> male working morning shift on the 11th Sep), he came across very rude to me (you could say even hostile (!) - tone, attitude) and unhelpful when I asked if there is any hotel notepads we could have. He made no eye contact initially, totally ignoring a guest speaking to him and after he was obliged to interact he said verbatim 'reception is not responsible for the training rooms, go ask at the restaurant' with absolute no respect, in front of other staff, like I am not a guest, like I am working for him. London Marriott you can do better... staff with good interpersonal skills should be at front desk. Reception is the focal point for guests and the behavior of staff working there is what stays with the guest after they leave.
