Jan 26, 2025Wonderful resort in the heart of the hotel zone!
Wonderful weekend getaway- despite the weather Have been looking forward to visit the resort after reading the great reviews. It’s easy to see why the loyal following. Stayed in the Aqua level and had a great view overlooking the ocean. Even though we were just outside the elevators (9012) the hallway noise never was an issue. Rooms- clean, nice firm bed, couple of varying pillow options. AC works well (granted it was only 70’s when we were there). Like the Moulton Brown products! Missed having a tub in the room though! Restaurants: Being a foodie and realizing that all-inclusives aren’t the place to expect Michelin star quality, we were impressed with the quality of food at MB and the Hidden Garden. Again not Michelin star but has to be the one of the most memorable ala carte restaurants we’ve eaten at having been at Finest, TRS Coral, Hyatt Ziva, and Atelier The habanero soup was worth the hype. The meal was so memorable that we had dinner 2 of the 3 nights! Love having the grill poolside for lunch. The chicken and ribs were always grilled perfectly. Bars: Loved the mango-passion fruit daiquiri and other resort drinks that were made. But if looking for a mezcal old fashioned - the bars were ok. Pools: Nice to have heated pool options - the one by the swim up bar and by the jacuzzi were nice to have given that it was only 70s and overcast for two of the days. The Infinity pool is beautiful but was too cold for the weather. Beach: Beautiful and clean - no seaweed! But too windy and rough waves to get in the water. But can see why people enjoy the beach there. Service: The staff were great and very helpful during our stay. A special thanks to our butlers Stephany and Arturo who helped to see our fridge was stocked with our drinks that we liked and to get us reservations at MB and Hidden Garden. Hector at the pool was there to help set up the lounger with towels. Additional shout out to Cesar for pool service and Manuel/ Cresencio at the pool bar. A few downsides that kept it from being a 5 star resort. Hidden Garden- our server talked up the special for the night, but only when we decided on the entree that he mentioned the extra cost. Little surprised to see only one bartender working at Aka, Egos, and Aqua club lounge even during peak hours. Seemed to be way too many Cabanas for purchase relative to loungers and daybeds. Don’t have an issue with purchasing one for the day (or upgrading to a suite), but the Cabanas seemed to occupying most of the prime spots around the pool. Ultimately would give the resort a 4.5 if able. Would definitely return and hope for nicer weather!

We love Live Aqua. This was our 11th visit to Live and we keep coming back for many reasons. Our butlers this visit were exceptional. Eladio and Maggy were great at helping us plan our days, make dinner reservations, brought us special welcome treats and made my birthday one I will never forget. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. With the weather not being as great as we would have hoped it was Ah-Mazing that they had the pools so warm. Without it Mother Nature may have had us pretty down. Can’t wait till our next stay in June. Special shout out to our wait staff they work so incredibly hard. Cesar, Marisol, Marco, and Roosevelt my hats off to you.

A True 5 Star Property & Staff
We finished our 16 day Quintana Roo stay with 3 nights at Live Aqua - our 2nd visit. We booked a Aqua Club oceanfront room which came with a butler. A great perk! Our butlers Arturo and Stephanie were both very friendly, attentive & super helpful - felt like we made a friend!Everything from guidance as to all the perks of the property to booking reservations, answering questions, etc - they handled it all professionally with fabulous personalities! There was a good variety of entertainment throughout the days and nights. We enjoyed one day hanging at the pools and another we rented a cabana on the beach. The service was excellent from every employee we encountered! The food was delicious - we enjoyed the poolside grill each afternoon, the breakfast buffet with takeaway made-to-order smoothies, The Hidden Garden, mb, and Varenna for dinners. We plan to return again.

Can't Wait to Go Back!
What a great experience! Every aspect of our stay was outstanding. The resort is beautiful and clean, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more attentive. We ate at a different restaurant every night, and they were all excellent. Make sure you dine at MB at least once. The breakfast buffet was outstanding as well. We upgraded our room, which came with butler service, and Rodrigo and Romero were the best. My wife and daughter loved the spa (great job Ibette and Raquel). Also, starting the day with yoga in the secret garden was super cool. Highly recommend!

Relaxing and fun
The food here was wonderful. The four of us tried a few things and Cesar couldn’t have been more helpful. He took care of us above and beyond our expectations. All of the food we had was great. He even suggested we tried new things to expand our horizons. The food was great on its own but Cesar made our night.
