First all-inclusive. Exceeded expectations in every way!
From the moment we checked in, we were met by very courteous helpful people. Jose and Junior made sure that we understood what was happening each day and answered any questions we had soonest. They led the charge and made sure we knew what services were offered and what shows were available. They responded quickly and made things happen for us. Our trip was full of people that made sure to remember us and went out of their way to ensure we were well cared for. Francis is everywhere! He made sure that each time he saw us we chatted and he'd answer any questions or make recommendations for food, activities and questions about the Dominican culture. This trend continued. Wandy and Yuliesy seemed to be everywhere and always asked how we were. They took time to make us feel valued and always went the extra step. At the VIP beach Angelo, Pedro and Josue made us comfortable, dealt with questions, requests, and rude customers with good grace and a positive attitude. The entertainment crew with Priscila and Luis bring it everyday and always embraced us warmly from the first time they made us dance. Natti and Loni helped us book a party boat, see them for any excursions. Felipe was helpful and willing to assist. He and Farlin brought us together to observe the presentation. It wasn't for us, but those guys are great and they should be recognized. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone but there were a great people that hopefully get recognition for the great work they're doing. The food was great everywhere in my humble opinion. Take the time to visit each place. Make sure to bring one outfit for a night at the club. We went and had a blast! Bring small bills to thank the staff. **Pro-tip. I didn't bring a tumbler, do that. It'll keep the hot stuff hot and the cold stuff cold**. Like many of the other posts say, bring sunscreen and cold medicine or stuff you may need. The only reason I rated Aqua very good instead of great were small. The beach and main pool closed too early for me. I would have liked to stay past 7pm. The resort shop is very expensive. Walkability outside the resort was not very good. There isn't a plaza or a place to shop just outside the resort. You'll have to get your souvenirs from the shop or buy them while on excursion. This place is amazing and filled with bright and vibrant people. You owe it to yourself, book it!

Enjoyable stay at Live Aqua
Live aqua is a beautiful resort on a really nice stretch of beach. Check in was extremely quick, not a single issue. Gentlemen helping us was extremely friendly. Resort was at 100% capacity. We arrived at the resort around 1 PM and were completely unpacked, in our suits and on the beach eating pizza with a drink in our hand by 230PM. Later that evening the resort hosted a really cool super bowl party on the beach for the big game. They had a giant big screen TV/projector, lots of seating, plenty of food/drinks, football themed pastries and deserts. It was really neat and you could tell they put a lot of time and effort into the event. Job well done. Our room # was 6205, pretty close to the center of the resort. The room was situated above a stretch of swim out pool rooms which faced the neighboring resort which was completely empty. Only saw one or two people the whole stay, all of whom appeared to be workers. We could clearly see the ocean from our balcony. Very beautiful setting. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi on our balcony every evening. The bed was quite stiff and our room was in need of a little TLC. Open bathroom concept takes some getting used to. The double sink is literally right up against the headboard of the bed. You can literally have a clear conversation with anybody, anywhere in the room while showering or using the toilet. Never heard any noise from the resort music or activities, only some moving around from the level above. Overall, very quiet. All the pools were really nice. They were a bit cold as none are heated and we never encountered a hot tub on the grounds. Never had an issue with getting loungers at any one of them. We preferred the 4 smaller pools on the sides of the main walkway through the center of the resort. Beach was beautiful and was the easiest of any resort we’ve been to in locating loungers in prime locations. Not crowded at all. We weren’t necessarily early birds, we would go to the beach around 9 each morning, pick our spot, grab some breakfast and spend the rest of the day there. The little pizza hut on the side of the pool bar and bathroom will bring freshly made pizzas right to your beach chair. This option was perfect so we didn’t have to uproot in between breakfast and dinner. Vendors were no different than anywhere else. A simple “no thank you” and they moved on. We didn’t experiment too much with the food options but for dinner the teppanyaki was our favorite restaurant. We went there 2 nights. California rolls, fried rice, meats and veggies are hard to beat. Italian wasn’t bad, but not great. Breakfast was good and had lots of options. We visited the sports bar for lunch shortly before we left and the burger, fries and pizza did the trick. Server was extremely friendly, I cannot remember her name. We’re not big drinkers but I had no problem finding my “preferred” grey goose and Tito’s at any of the bars across the resort. Overall, we would recommend this resort. The staff was great, the resort never felt crowded or overwhelmed and the grounds were beautiful. Other than some blemishes in the room, the room layout and the water being rough, it was a great place to spend most of the week while snow and cold was pounding our hometown.

Best service in 50 years.
Salvador Luis & Nataly Linda always served us with a welcoming smile. People like them make us Canadians want to come back to Live Aqua. The pools and beach area are pristinely clean. Very impressed with the eat in restaurants as well as the well stocked buffet.

Solo International Trip
Best vacation ever! The resort was so beautiful, everyone was so kind! I enjoyed the spa, the beach and room service! I highly recommend the swim up pool. I hardly wanted to leave my room because I had my own pool but I wanted to explore the resort as well. Drinks were great but my trip wouldn’t have been as enjoyable without my wonderful butler Eric! Eric was extremely helpful and attentive. I loved that I was able to text him any request and get a reply urgently. I loved the vip service! I hope to return soon.
