Newly updated hotel rooms. Staff was extremely friendly. Valet is free. They were extremely efficient getting the cars up to the loading area. Resturant on-site is good as well. Very nice mid-point on the island. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Just about perfect
First trip to Kauai and after much planning and research, canceled our stay at a different property and rebooked at the Kauai Shores due to the excellent reviews. It was absolutely everything we were looking for. Quiet, clean and well laid out room on the first floor next to the main pool, which made for easy and quick access from our room. Beautiful and well maintained grounds and an easy walk to the water, walking path and the on site restaurant with wonderful music to enjoy. The location is very convenient for a first time visitor, allowing us to explore the island and all of the wonderful beauty it offers. Had a little glitch with the room that was originally reserved, not the fault of the facility, however, Priscilla in management along with the wonderful Angela on the front desk, got it straightened out for us so we could enjoy the remainder of the trip in the room we wanted and without extra stress. Just two small things to mention, housekeeping came late in the day, so keep that in mind when planning your daily activities. The concrete around the pool is very very hot, so be careful. This is a wonderful resort with plenty of amenities and a terrific central location if you have transportation. The staff is friendly and very good at their jobs. Highly recommend!

Super nice - clean, simple, comfortable rooms and awesome public spaces!
Room was simple, well-planned layout, clean, nicely decorated, comfortable bed - had everything we needed. It was also nice & quiet and great air-conditioning system with fan that kept room very comfortable without going on and off all night! The public spaces were absolutley lovely and well tended to. Loved the onsite resturant (Lava Lava Beach Club). Loved the proximity to the ocean - walked out of the room each morning and after a 90 second walk we were on the beach to see sunrise on the provided chairs - coffee in hand! Very much appreciated the free ice cold water provided to refill water bottles in the hall. Pools were both great - one quiet, one more active. Also took advantage of the bikes each day - really loved the ease of that as well and the beautiful nearby bike path! Will recommend this place to friends - would definitely stay here again.

Clean and good accommodation
I enjoyed my stay at the Kauai Shores hotel. I was traveling for business. This location was good for work. The front desk staff was wonderful. There are restaurants in walking and driving distance. My only complaint was the parking. I had to valet park and walk from the front of the hotel to my room at the far rear of the complex. The room was clean and quiet enough for me. The bed was comfortable. I did notice that the water that splashed up on the bathroom counter rolled towards the front of the counter. I assume the counter was not leveled when it was installed. The tub/shower was large. There was adequate hot water and water pressure. There is no elevator so you have to carry your luggage to the second floor. I would stay at this hotel again if I travel to Kauai for business.

I wanted to write a glowing review. Truth is the stay was great. Unfortunately their staff has sticky fingers. When I booked the hotel, I booked directly through their website. I live near Los Angeles, CA. Less than 24 hrs after booking the room my credit card was fraudulently charged at a Hilton in Kauai. Thankfully my credit card notified me immediately and declined the charges. I rarely use this card. I knew it was suspicious timing but decided to let it be. Stayed at the hotel. It was nice. Upon arriving at the airport to return home, I went to use my AirPods and found my case is empty. No AirPods in sight. I did not use them once while at the hotel. Find my AirPods showed them in 2 separate location in the property the bar and moving around. Odd. Once I contacted the property they claimed housekeeping found one in the room and turned it after checkout and that they went and looked for the second one and found it on the floor. How might that have happened since I never used them while at the hotel? They were in the nightstand. They’re mailing my AirPods home, but that is hardly the point.
