    Great get away!

The staff was very friendly especially Katie at check-in! She went above and beyond to arrange it so our room would be near our friends that we were traveling with. Our room attendant Elsa was so sweet and accommodating. We would return to this resort and recommend it to others.

    Lovely Hawaiian resort

Stayed for a week in April for a family wedding. We had all ages with us from 1-82. The little ones loved all of the pools and the koi ponds. The resort is small enough that everything was an easy walk, including the beach. We enjoyed the Starbucks in the gift shop, the nightly music in the lounge, the free cultural activities and more. We had the breakfast buffet everyday and the staff were very accommodating of our large group, high chair and walker needs. Our room was nothing fancy and showed that it was a well used room by the ocean but it had everything we needed. The partial ocean view from the balcony was a bonus! The best thing about this hotel has to be the staff. Almost all of our encounters were so professional, polite and helpful.

Great place to hold your next event!

This is the best place to do an event on Kaua'i! Their staff is so accommodating and professional! Nelson and Eugene were so helpful with our recent banquet. The food is delicious and the price is fair, especially with all that you get. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Resort l- Rooms need more TLC

We recently returned to the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort, hoping to see some improvements since our last stay a couple of years ago, especially with the recent rebranding. While there are definitely some highlights, the rooms themselves still need major work. we noticed mismatched paint shades, a broken bathroom lock (which we called to have repaired, but no one ever came), visible rust issues, stained carpets, and bubbling paint. Overall, the rooms feel tired and are in need of significant renovation. That said, the grounds and amenities were great. Our kids absolutely loved the pool, and the entertainment offered was a nice touch. The lobby makes a wonderful first impression — it’s beautiful, open, and welcoming. The staff was also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. I’ve read in another review that in Kauai, the standard for accommodations can sometimes be different compared to the mainland, which might explain some of the room conditions. Either way, we still had a great time — the setting is beautiful — but the overall aesthetics definitely need some TLC to match the rest of the resort.

Not a great start, let's hope it gets better.

Pre-arranged late check in, due to flights. After a very long journey, then collecting hire car and trying to drive in the dark whilst very heavy rain meant driving was a crawl, I arrived very tired, stressed and in tears having finally arrived. We were told if we hurried, we could have food and drink in Shutters bar. So, without even freshening up or unpacking, we went to the bar as directed by reception staff. Clearly Jessica, who was 'serving' appears to be very unhappy in her role, clearly didn't want to serve us, kept making a point of looking at her watch and then decided not to serve our drinks! I asked the barman some 30 minutes later who saw the drinks at the end of the bar. So far, I am given the impression that my money isn't good enough. Considering the price of the rooms, I am not expecting stained carpets and a broken shower in the room. Let's hope things get better after a good night's sleep.
