Tranquility and relaxation at its best..

The Mirador is an adult only Hotel, small in comparison to other hotels in the area, it has six floors, most of the rooms are accessible y a long outside corridor which faces the main road. The road is fairly quiet and we did not hear any traffic noise from the room. The hotel is on hill, therefore there are stairs/ramps to consider, they are not very steep and we did not find it an issue. Outside there is an outside swimming pool that extends the length of the hotel, it gets the sun all day so the water was warm enough to be able to have a swim. There also jacuzzi in the garden. The garden itself is not massive, but as there are not loads of people in the hotel so it never feels overcrowded. There is a smalll building in the garden that holds the Gym, which has the basic machines, with an amazing views… If you want sun beds, just go and see happy Orlando by the poolside and he will place them whatever you wish, pool towels are provided in you room on a daily basis. There is a lovely bar, a library where you can pick up a book or two, and a games/TV room. Rooms. The building is split into two sections by a block in the middle, this means that depending where you room is you will get the sun in the morning or in the evening. Rooms from no.1 to 13 will have the sun in the morning from 14 onwards in the evening. We had a seaview suite, which was lovely. The room had a bedroom section, and a sitting room section, which was nice, there was a small dressing room by the front door and a large bathroom with bath and a great shower. The bed is large and very comfortable, you can have the pillows of your choice. The balcony was just big enough for a small table and two chairs, but the view was absolutely amazing, day and night. In February it was ideal as you got the sun mist of the day. Breakfast was taken in the Mirador restaurant, with tables indoor and outside. The food, quality and variety was excellent. They have a chef to cook the eggs of your choice, if you like bacon, ask for English bacon.if possible try to avoid the 9.00 to 9.30 slot as it usually quite busy.. As well as the Mirador there are another three restaurants, La Perola that serves lunch and dinner, Las Perdales which is a snack bar, and the star of the show El Cenador. We used the El Cenadow twice, the menu is on the small side, but high in quality, loved the setting, food and staff. In the Perdales you can use their menu or the snack menu. Twice we had lunch there using their menu, the food was lovely, highlight were the ham croquettes. Once we had the chicken burgers from the snack bar, which was a big mistake, taste and texture similar to rotten cardboard. Can not understand why they can not use a chicken breast grilled instead of some sort of chicken mix. At least we were not charged for them. The entertainment was very good, it was held in the bar area from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm. Two not to miss, the Shakers on Thursday, absolutely great show, and the Falmenco show on Tuesday. All the staff were absolute amazing, al all levels, it would take a long list to name them all, all extremely friendly and totally professional. Overall a wonderful time which we hope to repeat.

One of the very best hotels that we have enjoyed. Five stars is not sufficient,

We have just nearly completed our second stay at this wonderful hotel. It is not in your face luxury, but very traditional and superbly comfortable. Very nicely furnished and decorated. The public spaces are extremely welcoming and accessible, the bar staff are friendly, reliable and welcoming. The price and quality of the drinks are very acceptable for a five star property, plus the snacks accompanying the drinks are excellent. The food and service in the restaurant is beyond perfect with an offering for everyone. The staff, generally are all exceptional and I mean without exception. Evening entertainment in the bar is also wonderful, a lovely way to round off a super day. Reception staff go beyond expectations, on one evening we were finding it difficult to book a restaurant because they did not answer the phone or respond to an email, Paula from reception actually went there and booked our evening meal. That is the level of attention that this hotel provides for their guests. All that I can say as a seasoned traveler it’s simply the best!

    Absolutely fabulous!

My wife & I stayed here for four nights at the end of January - our first visit. On arrival we were very impressed with the delightful concourse, where we were greeted by the concierge. who took our baggage and escorted us to reception. We were seated and asked what complimentary drinks we'd like - all the while taking in the splendour of this fabulous hotel. A nice surprise awaited when we handed over our passports and were told by the most welcoming reception ladies that (on my birthday, that day) we'd been upgraded to a suite on the top (sixth) floor. We were then escorted to our room. It was stunning - with a huge terrace overlooking the ocean (sunsets at night were just magical). On the first evening we ate at La Pergola restaurant (booked pre-arrival) in a lovely setting and were suitably wined and dined with excellent service. However, following the recommendation of another friendly couple that we'd spoken to (repeat guests), we tried the main (buffet) restaurant the following evening and absolutely loved it! We'd booked B & B so that we could sample the well-reviewed local restaurants, but were so enamoured with everything about this restaurant, that we dined there every evening thereafter. Everything about this fabulous hotel - in a virtually perfect location - has already been well documented and justifiably praised. We loved every minute of our time here - which included a wonderful breakfast, some lovely local promenade walks, relaxing by the poolside (the pool is sublime) - with superb food & drinks service (some complimentary) and - after a lovely drinks and dining experience each evening - retiring to our beautiful room, with it's huge, comfortable bed. We've experienced some lovely hotels over the years, but this was without doubt the best. We've heeded the advice of the many lovely guests that we met and have booked for next year. Superb!

If Carlsberg made hotels this would probably be the best hotel in the world.

This was our first visit to this hotel, it was so good we came home and booked again. The staff are amazing, delivering absolutely superb service and always with a smile. The rooms are very comfortable, well laid out and scrupulously clean. The food is of a very high standard and well presented with plenty of choice. The pool area is first class with no shortage of loungers and staff are always on hand to assist you with parasols, towels etc. We had an excellent holiday and look forward to our next visit.

    Paradise

I think previous reviews posted says it all. This hotel (our first stay) is undoubtedly one of the best we have ever stayed in worldwide. The front of the building, the reception area really depicts the class of the hotel and is a great illustration of what you find during your stay. Our sea view suite just amazing, well equipped, stylish, peaceful day and night, so relaxing. Our terrace was enormous, furnished with chairs, tables, loungers, sofa, fantastic. Staff so friendly, getting a mini problem sorted via reception took three attempts but otherwise all staff especially those in the eateries with a couple of exceptions excellent. We were half board, to be recommended as prices at eateries around hotel were close to hotel prices. Breakfast perfect, buffet dinner with a choice of some set menus excellent, food and choice of dishes excellent. Pergola restaurant for the one night we were allowed under half board equally good, we didn’t particularly like El Cenador for our one night, service wasn’t great and the warmth of the staff found in the other restros was missing in this one. Location of hotel great, bus stop outside, promenade down the hill from the hotel stretches for miles along the coast. Frankly you don’t need to go anywhere else as hotel grounds are superb. Only criticisms are the hotel App is useless, most 5 star hotels around Europe you can keep tabs on the bill via App or TV (not the case here) and we had some room service charges added that were wrong. Secondly, somewhat churlish given prices we are paying to have to pay for water at dinner when it’s free at breakfast - illogical. Also watch in Cenador, wine topped up when not asked for (if you bought a single glass) even a few drops of extra wine charged at a full glass price. Cannot stress enough just how great El Mirador is, definitely back next year. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable.
