I had read mixed reviews, but everything was wonderful! Location was great and valet was very nice! The best part was the front desk! The woman working asked if we were celebrating a special occasion ,we were, and she sent wine and chocolates! The spa was very nice too!

Beds were comfortable. We were upgraded to a marina view, however, we still overlooked the A/C units. Lucky that the nearby SD airport limits flights from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm, Restaurants were ok, didn't spend much time on the grounds. We'd look around for other options before staying here again.

The location is great, but beware that the Suite's are not actually part of the Hyatt and you will be disappointed if you expect them to be up to Hyatt Regency standards. It's an old converted motel, unattached from the main building. The rooms are not up to Hyatt standards, noise and dingy. Coming from a very loyal Hyatt customer who has stayed at probably 20 different Hyatts, this was a very poor experience.

My favorite hotel in San Diego
Amazing hotel venue - on the water, friendly and helpful staff and yummy breakfast. I was upgraded to a corner suite overlooking the Marina with 2 patios. There is a strolling, jogging path that runs along the Marina. The workout room is next to the water... what a view!

Valentines Day weekend with my wife. Had a certificate and some points for one of their marina suites. Nice view; ample room; cozy balcony. The check-in staff and valet were all so friendly and very accommodating. Overall it was a nice stay and I would come back. However….the bed was not comfortable and by that I mean it creaked when you turned from one side to the other. It was old. Woke up with a back ache and so did my wife. It’s a trend I’m starting to notice at Hyatt and its concerning. Their competition sells their mattresses as a highlight to stay with them and I can see how this will become a problem if Hyatt doesn’t address it in their network. Also, super thin walls. I heard the early morning conversation of the room next door. Not the wake-up call I planned.
