Hotel Overview

Located on 40 spectacular oceanfront acres on Kaanapali Beach, the AAA 4-Diamond award-winning Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa offers unlimited activities and amenities in a setting of tropical luxury. This standout among Maui resorts truly has something for everyone: a half-acre pool with a 150-foot lava tube water slide, sand-bottom children's pool, an extensive collection of Asian art, lush landscaping with exotic wildlife, a rooftop astronomy program, tennis, nightly entertainment (including the Drums of the Pacific Polynesian Luau), nine award-winning restaurants and lounges, Maui's only oceanfront full-service spa - the magnificent Kamaha'o Spa, and the Athletic Club.

Guestrooms feature a sleek, contemporary Hawaiian design that is both comfortable and sophisticated. The fresh, tailored, and uncluttered style is available in one king or two beds (queen and full). Each room also features a private lanai from which to enjoy panoramic views. For additional privacy and extra amenities, reserve your room in the Regency Club. Featuring keyed-off floors, it also provides a lounge with complimentary continental breakfast, evening hors d oeuvres, and drinks/snacks.

Dining options abound at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. Start your day with breakfast in the romantic Swan Court dining room with an extensive buffet and a la carte menu. A popular choice for lunch is Umalu, featuring casual oceanfront dining with modern Hawaiian fare. At night, the Swan Court is transformed into Son'z Maui, known for their classic cuisine for the next generation,- and the state of Hawaii's largest wine collection. The talented chefs creatively pair fresh, local fish, chops, lobster, and steaks with locally grown produce to give them a contemporary flair.

From scuba diving and pro tennis lessons to Hula demonstrations, Lei making classes, or art and garden tours around this spectacular resort, you will experience incredible Maui activities around every corner. While there is plenty to do at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, there are also a multitude of exciting activities within close proximity. It is just a 15-minute walk to the shops of Whalers Village, the town of Lahaina, and the long boardwalk along Kaanapali Beach. You'll find good snorkeling awaits at nearby Black Rock, which offers the easiest snorkeling for kids.

Great hotel - renovations are making it hard to sleep.

The hotel & facilities are great. The view of the ocean is fantastic and access is convenient. Make sure if you're going that the renovations are completed, or you get a room facing away from the ocean side as the renovation crew starts working at 5am.

    Short but Memorable Stay

Beautiful stay with the fresh ocean breeze and the sounds of the waves reminding you that Hawaii is paradise on earth. Rooms were clean, housekeeping and maintenance staff were extremely responsive. Customer service was excellent! Highly recommend!

    Fantastic stay

The room was superior to my expectation; Japengo is a fantastic sushi restaurant; gym is quite large and covers all needs; staff were professional, friendly, and the grounds were well maintained. Very positive overall experience and exceeded expectations.

    Outstanding Through and Through!

As per usual, the Hyatt Regency Maui knocked it out of the park with their friendly service, exceptional food & beverage offerings, and the well-maintained guest room that we enjoyed. They continue to keep the property in great condition, and in fact, there are more enhancements being done now. I highly encourage anybody visiting Maui to stay at the Hyatt Regency - you won't be disappointed!

Poor customer service and a lot of renovation noise

The beach is beautiful and the child pool is great for my baby as it is his 1st time to the pool and beach. We are disappointed with Hyatt Maui though as there are a lot of renovations ongoing, I have a baby that needs to take a nap and they gave me a room with construction noise outside. The front desk should have inform us when we check in and saw our baby so we can make arrangement on our schedule. It was also my birthday and usually other Hyatt hotel send me a cake, (Shanghai Hyatt did and I was surprised by them). I do not really care about such gesture as I have my own celebration at Whalers village anyway, but the feeling from Hyatt Maui employee is just to avoid any trouble from guests. Some of the employees are friendly and helpful but quite some of them I can see does not like their job and is very rude especially the valet parking lady. She demand I hand over my car keys when I just want to pick up my family with baby at front entrance. Hyatt management definitely need to improve on customer service and guest experience if they want to beat the competition.
