Attended a conference, 2 day visit. Great location on the beach. Expansive property with several pools and on site spa. The property is a maze and several people including myself had trouble locating our rooms. Rooms were good size with a nice bathroom. Comfy bed and clean.

Mar 27, 2025Terrific Beach Resort Hotel with plenty of pretty views, pools, and activities close by!
Traveled with my two daughters ages 12 & 14… We really enjoyed the property. We were only there for one night, but we were given a s’mores pack that was included in the resort fees and easy to carry fold up beach chairs and towels to use on the beach! (As in the beach chairs had straps that allowed you to carry them like a backpack!) … Now a side note is we wish we would have known that there were no hotel reps or staff actually on or near the beach providing these amenities, as we falsely assumed. The amenities were to be checked out near the concierge at the front desk, so yes we walked all the way out to the beach and then back to get them. (But that was on us for not noticing them right behind us when we checked in. Lol.) The hotel has multiple heated pools, which my girls were able to swim in, despite the air temperature really being mid 70s. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, but we did indulge in the huge shareable nachos at the pool bar, and they were really good! We enjoyed walking around the resort and our freely upgraded room to partial ocean view had beautiful views as well! We stayed on a Wednesday during spring break, and my only status with WOH this year is currently just Discoverist, so we were delighted with the upgrade that we did not dream to anticipate. The young lady working the front desk, with a non traditional name that I will likely screw up here, Etzel (sp?) was very kind and patient with explaining the resort map. My only suggestion to my fellow travelers is read over the fine print of what all the resort fee covers, because it was not until after we left that I had noticed that there were other benefits provided by the resort fee that we could have benefited from! So now we know for next time! So if you want a family friendly hotel, with things to do for the kids and essentially right on the beach then this Hyatt is the right place! It has a private beautiful light house style bridge from the hotel to the beach and it is also very short Uber ride (like less than five minutes or $12) to a terrific shopping area that has stores like “Brandy Melville, “Free People,” “Lululemon” and a lot of great restaurants!

Amazing staff
The staff are beyond kind and go out of their way to make you feel so special!! I truly appreciate how comfortable they made our stay and they truly care to welcome you. We celebrated my son’s birthday here and it was beyond amazing. There is so much for the kids to do and the beach is so fun for them to go find seashells. The food (especially breakfast!) was fantastic. I have all positives to say and hope to visit again!

Great family weekend!
Wonderful stay in Huntington Beach after a few days at Disneyland. We mostly relaxed at the pool and enjoyed the beautiful resort grounds. We were offered a paid upgrade to the Catalina Suite and we are so glad we said yes. We can't wait to come back.

Perfect relaxing getaway
Amazing location and amenities, loved the option of the adults only hot tub area. Location is perfect, nice walking distance to downtown and the walking bridge to the parking and beach is awesome. Every staff member was friendly and attentive.
