An outstanding experience at the Hyatt - Huntington Beach, CA
It is a fantastic hotel - the rooms are clean, the staff friendly and helpful. There are plenty of restaurants, and the food quality is high. The room has excellent coffee, and Starbucks is also available on the property. I highly recommend staying at this property.

Phenomenal hotel and service.
Best experience ever in a hotel. Much better than Four Seasons. Everything was beyond my expectations. Incredible staff. Best room service food I have ever experienced. Everyone was super pleasant and accommodating. This was ,literally the best hotel experience I have had. Far superior to Four Seasons. Whoever is managing this hotel is creating a complete world class experience for guests.

Beautiful grounds
Had a special event at Watertable, the restaurant at the hotel, and so we booked a standard room and a suite. The service provided at the restaurant and at the hotel was top-notch. The grounds were immaculate; lawns and landscape were manicured; palm trees and sunset in front of the ocean was our backdrop at dinner. Both, and perhaps all, rooms have a balcony. Ours were towards the pool/garden but there are some that have ocean views. Rooms were clean and fairly large albeit slightly dated. Overall, our experience was amazing and 100% recommend.

Mediocre Birthday Stay
I booked this stay to celebrate my 40th birthday with my family. I indicated this when making my booking through the Hyatt website and my husband emailed the hotel as well (he never received a response from the hotel). There was no acknowledgement of my birthday when checking in which was a bit disappointing, but not a huge deal. My major issue was the room. I paid for a partial ocean view room, but when arriving at our assigned room, the view was blocked by a large tree in front of our balcony, there was no view at all apart from the tree! The room was also very dark, probably because of the large tree blocking the sun. Needless to say, it was incredibly disappointing. I went back to reception and they moved us into another room which was fine, but it was an inconvenience moving rooms with 2 young kids. I feel that the original room we were assigned should not be sold as a partial ocean view. There are many other hotels in the area, I don't think we'll be staying here again. With that being said, the hotel is very nice, the grounds are well kept and the pool is wonderful. The location is convenient and walkable to restaurants / shopping in the area. If you want to save some money on parking, the public lot across the street is $15/day and easy to access using the walking bridge over the PCH.

Beautiful resort with amazing employees!
We try to plan a trip here once a year if possible. It is our favorite place to stay without having to go too far. You have the benefit of a full service resort and also the ability to walk everywhere from the beach to Huntington with all the shops and restaurants. It is also just a short drive into Newport or Laguna which we love. Although honestly we could just stay right in the resort itself and be very happy. We love all of the restaurants and the new Shor right on the beach is a great new addition. The firepit rooms are our favorite which I hesitate to say since they have become much more popular and getting harder to book but they are the best! I do want to point out a few of our favorite employees who have made our stays even more enjoyable. Jimmy and Ryan at Pete's are both absolutely incredible. Jimmy even recognized us from our trip the year prior. I really can't say enough about how amazing both of them are and how much fun they have added to our trips! The other person I'd love to recognize is Khalil at the front desk. Absolutely amazing! He noticed the town we were from in Washington and amazingly enough it is the same town he is from. He even went to our son's rival high school and knew some of our son's friends as they both played football. Even without the small world connection he was just so personable and sweet! He sent us a credit for the market and when he saw us walking by with the bottle of wine we had purchased with it, he had wine glasses sent to our room which made my day! There are so many other employees that are great, these were just the ones that have really gone out of their way to make our trips wonderful! We are planning our next trip already so we will see you all in March!
