Apr 30, 2025Bad experience at Tanglewood.
We were married there 20 years ago. We decided to go back for lunch at Tanglewood. After waiting at the hostess stand for five minutes I motioned to a worker if we could seat ourself. They called over someone else and I asked if we could have lunch. It was 11:30 AM. His response was, “we’re closed, lunch starts at 12.” I asked if we could have a table and wait. His response was “no.” I went to the front desk to report the interchange and they were unresponsive. It was as if they could have cared less. We left. So much for our walk down memory lane.

Apr 28, 2025Great Family Stay, but Missing Something
We had a good experience at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa. The room was nice and clean, and service was quick to respond when we requested extra pillows and towels. Our kids loved the pools and waterslides, which were definitely a highlight of the stay. That said, the resort felt like it was missing a bit of a vibe. Some music around the pool and common areas would have helped create a livelier atmosphere. It might also feel less lively because there is no beach onsite. Overall, it was a good stay, especially for families.

Fun family vacation
It is a very nice hotel, my children loved the slides and the lazy river. There are amazing restaurants in the area, we did not eat at the hotel. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly. The private island is ok, we were able to see 2 dolphins while on the boat which was cool.

Our first time here and when my wife asked if our room was ready, she was told our policy for check in is at 4:00 pm and we will receive a texted when ready and do not come up and ask. My wife and I travel often and NEVER was talked to like that. Not a good start, very unprofessional. This is the same person when checking in was yelling across the lobby to the concierge to the point that I couldn’t hear the person checking us in. First impressions for a great experience are the front desk staff and sorry, major failure. I’m hearing the staff is very rude. Tons of resorts around and you take your guest for granted, you’ll lose very quickly.

Great pools, amazing sunset views, friendly helpful staff. Kids had a great time at the daily activities (bingo, crafts, duck race) and the lawn area is a great place to play outdoor games. Boat ride to the beach was memorable! Note that EV charging is only available if you pay for valet - would like to see this opened up. We'd love to return!
