Girls trip
Four of us went for a girls trip Sat-Tue. We shared a room and couldn’t believe how comfortable we all were in the space with plenty of room to get ready. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The pool doesn’t get sun until 4 in November so that was a little disappointing but it was so nice and we just enjoyed it after being in the sun at the beach all day.

Amazing
This hotel was incredible! It features a pool on the 8th floor with a fantastic food bar and convenient poolside service. Our room was spacious, located on a corner with two balconies—one facing the bay and the other overlooking the ocean. We had a full kitchen, and being on the 16th floor, we were right in front of a large terrace with a hot tub. The location is perfect, close to a nearby shop stocked with everything you might need, from Tylenol for hangovers to beach shoes.

Best in Clearwater
The view from my room was amazing and the beach was a two minute walk. Loved the pool and the hot tubs. Really appreciated having a deck with a beautiful ocean view and warm breezes. And my room was scrupulously clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and professional.

September 2024
I booked here for what was supposed to be a weeklong vacation (more on that later). This was my second visit, having visited previously in 2020. The hotel was as I had remembered from four years ago. The staff was great - very helpful and provided great service. Rooms were very clean, and housekeeping was prompt and efficient each day. I love the pool, located on the 8th floor, where you have a great view of the beach and Gulf. The food and service at Tropico during the day for lunch and drinks was great! Bartenders there were awesome. I love that the rooms are equipped with coffeemaker, full refrigerator, microwave etc. Despite having read several reviews about the rooms being dated and worn, my experience was totally the opposite. Mine was in great shape, very clean and comfortable, much as I remembered from 4 years ago. My only constructive criticism was the communication regarding the hurricane (and the reason for a 4* instead of 5* review). Unfortunately, my trip was interrupted halfway through by Hurricane Helene, when I was required to evacuate. There was not adequate communication when the evacuation was ordered or what options we would have as guests (I found out by accident when I asked a staff member a question on a totally separate matter). When I approached the front desk to inquire, Scott Allen was very helpful in providing some guidance, and spent time answering my questions. I appreciated that. But there was really no proactive communication on the part of the hotel, aside from security banging on my door while I was scrambling to make travel arrangements. I'd expect a lot more preparedness from an upscale Hyatt property in that regard. By contrast, the hotel that I evacuated to some 85 miles inland had handouts for guests when they checked in, addressing things like what to do in the event of a power outage, potential service reductions etc. All in all, this Hyatt is near the top of my favorite Hyatt resorts that I have stayed at over the years, and I look forward to returning at some point.

Pretty dismal
Stayed here with family back in April. We had four rooms between us all, and the whole stay was pretty dismal. The beach was absolutely packed, and not nice at all. The pool is no better, and there is a fight for pool chairs all the time. Not to mention the constant loud DJ music which is inappropriately played at the poolside. The hotel is mainly families, with children, yet they have a DJ which would be better off in Ibiza. Constant loud music is also blasted throughout the Hotel, an absolute nightmare when trying to get my nine month old baby to sleep in his pram, and then push him back into the hotel. The only highlights were the restaurants. The food was really nice by the pool side, and also in the ground floor restaurant. Definitely won’t be staying again though.
