    Fantastic vacation

We had a fantastic vacation here! Gavin was very welcoming at check-in, acknowledged our Globalist status and offered us champagne, chocolates and waters right away. After a long flight from Cali, we were grateful to be upgraded to a spacious sunset waterfront suite. The view is just GORGEOUS. WiFi is fast, shower pressure strong, amenities filled to the brim. We also got cocktail vouchers and casino free play. We went to the Regency Club for breakfast and happy hour each day. The ladies serve with a smile and we enjoyed the variety and drink options. We also “donate” to the casino nightly and enjoy the live music. The resort is beautiful, very clean, there is only 1 slide, multiple food outlets and hundreds of koi fish. It reminded me of (a mini) Grand Hyatt Kauai! The adult pool is great, food/drink service can be faster…. Guests line up as early as 6am to reserve front row palapa and umbrellas. We were fine on the 4th row, Gio is wonderful setting up our loungers and making afternoon bingo super fun! The location of the hotel is fantastic, we felt safe the whole time, there are restaurants, bars, shops walking distance. The boat tours take off in front of the hotel. We rented a car (highly recommended), hotel has free self parking. Airport is 25 mins away. We told the Regency Club ladies we were there for my sister’s 60th bday and on our last day they surprised us with a good size cake and joyful singing complete with Filimon’s mini-bongo. We had an enjoyable time and want to thank staff who stood out: Ligia, Jacqueline, Meraria, Filimon (lounge), Gavin (front desk), Gio (palapa). We’ll be happy to return to this resort! One happy vacation

Extremely professional hotel! Both pools are great! Its such a safe are and the food on the property is great! Clean casino and right in the heart of the restaurants in the hotel district. I will be returning 100% either with multiple couples or with family / kids.

    Hyatt Regency Aruba vacation.

Everyone - I mean everyone - I dealt with was extremely nice and helpful, from the cleaning staff, the bartenders, the pool staff, the beach staff, the hard-working guys putting out beach chairs in the mornings, and restaurant staff and servers. I was extremely impressed with how well-run this resort was. I commend the management and people working there, some of whom have been there 20+ years in my conversations with them. If I go back to Aruba, which I hope to do, I will absolutely stay at the Hyatt Regency. The resort is clean, well-maintained, and beautiful. I would choose this resort over the Ritz or Hilton resorts after having walked the beach and viewing those facilities.

Great hotel but not super kid friendly

Room was nice and clean, beach was short staffed with servers so didnt really get that chill with drinks on the beach thing.. not a lot to do for the kids.. just one slide.. getting beach chairs the typical stressful thing which I wish can be solved..

It was our first visit to Aruba.

Beautiful grounds, helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy beds and great pools and beach area. Location is ideal too. We loved our time here. We are a family of four with a 16-year-old and a 20-year-old college kid. The kids'/family pool area was overwhelming for us, but it's great if you have younger kids. The slide was a blast. We were thrilled to find the adult pool and relaxed there throughout each day. Food was awesome. We ate at the Ruinas del Mar restaurant, and the food was good and not expensive either. The pool deck food and drinks were good, and they had something for everyone. There are issues at the beach. The beach is amazing, but the Palapas, Umbrellas, and chair reservation system are a nightmare. You have to get up at 5:30 to be down at the beach shack by 6 to wait in line for an hour to get a chance at getting a palapa or umbrella for the day. The shack opens at seven, and each day, there was a huge line by 6:30. I only discovered this by chance as I was walking by the first morning around 6:15. NOT my idea of a relaxing vacation at all. For this simple reason, we would forego coming back to this Hyatt. Having to go through this process each morning simply to have shade and chairs on the beach in front of the hotel where you are staying is insane. If you are a pool person and don't like being on the beach all day, this is a non-issue for you. I am aware that the government completely changed the reservation system for palapas this year. I understand that the Hyatt is trying to do their best with the crazy new palapa reservation system. Overall, we loved our time here, and the amenities were great, but the hassle of the beach was a super turnoff.
