The room left a lot to be desired. The bed was as hard as a rock, this needs to be addressed as the mattress needs to be a bit more plush/soft. There needs to be lighting zones, when my wife went to bed to turn out the majority of the lights all the lights had to go out. Finally the bathroom while fine fore the most part the toilet space was very limited with the toilet paper dispenser was right at the right hight and in the way to catch my shoulder each time I used the bathroom. The bathtub/shower although nice and roomy leaked water onto the floor. There was no plumbing leak just poor execution of the design, the granite that surrounds the tub is angled out to the bathroom so the water from the shower runs out to the bathroom floor instead of back into the shower. So after each shower we had a flood to cleanup . When we complained about this they just sent a maintenance staff member up that could not fix it. This problem needs to be addressed. The next shortfall is the quality of the food the quality of the food has decreased since we were there two years ago. The RIU needs to step it up.

unless you want to be on a resort, this hotel is best inner city , downtown place you can stay. easy access to places n panama city, the malls, old town, seafood market . you can easily walk out of the hotel and explore the city. using uber app to go places is very inexpensive ,trips to old town cost less than 10$ including the tip. hotel nice and clean, breakfast buffet was great everyday and we stayed over 5 days. Dinner at the 3 other restaurants was very good also . bartender in sushi place is outstanding. best thing i can say i would do it all over again.

My anniversary trip
It was phenomenal and luxury hotel, just need to make a wider variety of menu for breakfast and dinner ...Otherwise from that it's a great choice for your vacation and the location is key in town surrounded by alot shopping malls, banks and restaurants.

Vacation treat
The staff and managers were very friendly, the food was great. The room service is 10/10 👍. I will recommended others and I surely will come back again.

perfect Christmas break at Panama
Great stay at Riu Panama Plaza. Nice hospitality. The only negative comment I have the waitresses NOT speak English well. An international hotel like Riu should watch out for that.
