Gerson, our Butler was AWESOME!!!! Will ask for him again!! Restaurants and bar servers were EXCELLENT, as well. Platinum Club helped immensely with making sure we were happy with our rooms. We visit several times a year and it's always enjoyable!!!

As platinum guests we waited 5 hours to check in. The room, although nice enough, was not up to the standards I paid for in guest comforts. The Air Conditioning did not work and repair services were called twice with no result and eventually having us to move to another room. There is definitely not enough bathrooms or areas to wash hands and in a buffet environment it should be absolutely necessary to be able to wash hands before and after eating. Only 1 bathroom (??!!) in pool area? Regardless., we ended up with a cold on our last couple days. The beach is not a beach and because of this the pool is overwhelmed with peopleand the pool water is way too cold to enjoy. The food is just ordinary and the same everywhere, apparently just the color of the soup changes.

Amazing resort with an incredible Kids Club!
Beautiful well kept resort with great pools and gardens with fantastic food each day. What really makes this resort special is the Kids Club! My two kids have been participating in the club for the last three vacations and staff like Grace, Rox, Chris, Andy, Clau, April and Mich were so kind, attentive and energetic with our kids. Thank you again for making our trip so great!

My partner and I joined 15 of my family members at Hotel Marina El Cid for a pre-Thanksgiving trip. I thought the grounds were beautiful and lush. The buffet breakfasts were good but the dinner experiences were only so so and room service foods were pretty bad. The room we had was mostly fine but there were some problem spots like a toilet paper holder that was broken along with no handle inside the shower..minor issues but shows that attention to detail isn't greatly focused on. The pool areas are nice and it is always pretty easy to get drinks. Good value for the most part. I would return for another gathering like this but probably wouldn't do so if I were traveling as a couple.

Great time and resort
Great resort! My family and I had a wonderful time, great food and very helpful staff. Gerson and Alan were amazing butlers, always quick and very helpful, highly recommend!! Fun times playing beach volleyball everyday and drinks by the pool!
