The friendly and courteous guest services are the best! Our Butler Alejandro is incredible. Best Butler I have ever had in the 18 years of coming to El Cid. Complete follow-up and follow-through. Always checking to see if I need anything and how I am doing.

Would visit again
Staff was very attentive and responsive. Large property with a variety of restaurants from Fusion to Japanese steakhouse. Food was all good and presentation magnificent. Doctor onsite with prescription medications was very convenient.

Jan 31, 2025A lsrge resort with several very good restaurants. The staff are outstanding.
We'd give it 5 stars, but have to say that some of the older buildings require uograding, and the menus have not changed for several years! But the resort has excellent staff, very good kids programs, nice pools, soa and exercise facilities.

Always a great time!
This was our fourth time consecutive vacation at El Cid in Puerto Morelos and third Christmas / New Year's trip. We stayed in Building 19 at the Marina and thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks. As much as we always enjoy the amenities, it's the staff who stand out the most. At the Marina Lobby bar, Adrian and Noe are the Dynamic Duo of the day shift (ask them who is Batman and who is Robin). Lol! In the evening, Gerry and Liz keep the party going! We were fortunate enough to meet the bar managers Juan and Francisco and they were both very friendly. You have a great team. Abraham and Santos who work the days at Ruf are just the best. Every single time. Our butlers were amazing, especially Luis but Alma and Abraham were incredible as well. At the main pool, Gilberto took very good care of us and our friends. Finally, a shout out to Marco in sales. We've seen him on every trip escorting prospective buyers around the resort and he always smiles, waves and ask us about our day. Super nice guy. We've missed a lot of people, I am certain. My apologies but thanks to everyone at El Cid. YOU make our vacations so much better than just being at a resort in Mexico. Hasta proxima vez amigos, Gracias a todo!
