Just Ok
The Staff is absolutely wonderful here, but the food was awful! The Guacamole was extremely disappointing. Coming to Mexico, I expected delicious chips/Guac, but nope. It was more of a generic guac. Room service was also a Joke. We were tired from our travels and ordered room service for dinner on our first night and also breakfast the next morning. I was extremely underwhelmed. By the time the food and coffee even get to you, it's cold. Vela on the other hand was one of the better restaurants here. The breakfast was delicious, and service was excellent. I got sick on our last night at the steakhouse restaurant. I'm pretty sure it was the shrimp cocktail. Our room also had a strange Odor. When I addressed it, they sent someone up to put some sort of liquid substance on the floor which I found to be very unsafe. I kept asking for air fresher, or to move to a different room but they request was not met. All in all, it's a beautiful property, but if you're looking for delicious food, choose a different property.

Fun week at this beautiful resort!
We just came back from a week at this resort (2 adults and 2 kids ages 5 & 8). Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this resort to others. Pros: -beautiful property that is extremely well maintained. -staff are so friendly, eager to please and accommodating. They truly do make this place what it is. -we stayed in the enclave section and our concierge Karen was great! She was so helpful and attentive to our every want and need. -although the property is large, trolleys come between the casas every 5 minutes, so you’re never waiting very long at all. -our son has autism and the kids club was very accommodating by allowing us to accompany him to whatever activities he wanted to participate in. -there is tons of wildlife around the resort that we all enjoyed (iguanas, hermit crabs, birds, coatis) -lots of chair availability, never had an issue finding one regardless of the time of day. -pool side and beach side waiter service was the best! Nothing better than having your drinks and lunch delivered to you while you’re enjoying a swim. -room was modern and clean. Not huge, but fine for our family of 4. Beds were comfy. Mixed bag: -food is very hit and miss depending what you order and which restaurant you dine at. The buffet is great for breakfast, but not the best selection for lunch or dinner. Our favourite dinner restaurants were the Japanese and Italian. -family entertainment was great Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but during the week there wasn’t much. I’d recommend adding some family friendly pool or beach parties during the day and more family friendly nighttime shows during the week, not just weekends, especially during the busy holiday season. -the beach is very rocky and not very big (obviously not the resorts fault), but my kids did enjoy the clear water and being able to watch the fish swim around them. They also loved having the option to kayak. -the kids splash pad is a lot of fun, but the water is freezing! All the other pools are a good temperature, so not sure why this water was so cold. Hope this overview of our week helps.

If you are looking for a HOT hot tub, you came to the wrong place.
Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All Inclusive Resort: We recently had the pleasure of spending our tropical vacation at this resort. We would like to take a few moments to provide some polite feedback regarding our stay. Overall, the facilities were wonderful. The entire resort was visually stunning. Every single staff member with whom we interacted with was pleasant and helpful. The restaurants were wonderful. The 24-hour coffee shop in the lobby was great. We really liked the welcome cocktail when we arrived in the lobby. I also wanted to share a number of aspects that we found less than impressive. 1. The restaurants were wonderful. I was kind of unimpressed by the upsell on the menu. We go to an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica, and the menus include steak and even lobster. I get it. This is how they run their business. Maybe they have better cuts of meat and fresher shellfish. 2. The beaches were less than impressive. Very rocky. I understand, they cannot be held responsible for the natural shoreline. 3. Overall, housekeeping did a wonderful job. I was unimpressed by the used condom package in the garden area right off of our patio. (Room 5116 - the condom package might still be there). I do not know who is responsible for the garden area -- whether it is housekeeping or groundskeeping. Regardless, it was less than pleasant to have to look at a used condom package for duration of our vacation. 4. I was a little bit unimpressed to see the air conditioning was set to a minimum temperature of 68 degrees F. Sometimes it is nice to bask in an arctic chill zone. But I get it. They are running a business, and it must be expensive to chill all 735 rooms, plus all the restaurants and common areas. 5. The refrigerator/mini-bar was nice to have in the room. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was barely cold. I was unimpressed with barely chilled beer and soda. I spoke with housekeeping, and she told me they would swap out the refrigerator. I also spoke with the front desk, and he also told me they would replace the mini-fridge. I honestly do not know if it was ever replaced. The beer and soda never got any colder. And Americans like our beer to be COLD. 6. We had a fair number of fruity drinks - pina colada, strawberry margaritas, etc. We were unimpressed with these fruity tropical drinks. One thing we noticed is that the fruity drinks consistently had a chemical or saccharin aftertaste. In this case, it literally left a bad taste in our mouth. 7. The pools at this resort were wonderful. We were unimpressed to learn that there was not a single pool open past 8:00 PM. We were kicked out of a pool on our first night, and shocked to learn that they were ALL closed. 8. The hot tubs were the worst we have ever seen at any resort we have ever stayed at. Honestly, the hot tubs can be a deal breaker for us ever returning to this Hilton. I enjoy relaxing in a very hot - hot tub. These hot tubs were luke-warm, at best. In fact, nine times out of ten, the neighboring pool was WARMER than the hot tub. We even had discussions with other guests on the shuttle to and from the rooms - discussing the locations of warmer hot tubs, and complaining about the cold hot tubs. Based on the hot tubs alone, I would call this resort a one-and-done.

Can we come back?????
Cannot say enough about our experience. Each member of our family were engaged in activities to their interest from exercise classes, paddle boarding, kayaking, crafts by the pool and meditation with Charlie. The additional fee for the Enclave concierge service was worth every cent, Sebastian our concierge had our dinner booked before we even landed in Mexico. Sebastian was very responsive to our requests and questions, he frequently came by to check in and sent us a daily itinerary of activities and places to eat. The food services staff were the most attentive and accommodating to my daughter who has multiple food allergies, each meal the chef met with us and prepared a meal just for her. Chef Oscar even prepared a gluten free pizza dough to sit overnight and topped it with dairy free cheese and roasted veggies. The host at Mexal even went to get a dairy and nut free gelato so my daughter could have dessert with the family. The drinks and bar staff prepared so many drinks to our liking with fresh fruits, the passion fruit mexcalita was divine. Maria the coffee barista made us iced coffees and cappuccinos to start our day. Having the Enclave lounge and Cocomar restaurant as part of the concierge service was a bonus and were places that we could relax as a family. The beach was a bit rocky and requires water shoes but you do not need to go far with swim googles to see all the fish and sea life. Cannot wait to return to the Hilton Tulum.

Stunning Resort & Wonderful Experience!
Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya is absolutely stunning! My boyfriend and I booked through Fitness Vacation Exchange, a program that provided me the opportunity to teach exercise classes at the resort during our stay. As a result, I spent most mornings in the gym, where I had the chance to meet many other guests and start my day with a burst of endorphins. Sofia and Kevin, who teach exercise classes and manage the gym, were incredible—so friendly and helpful! After our morning workouts, we often spent the afternoons lounging by one of the many HEATED pools, and we enjoyed dinner at a different restaurant every night!! We had such a wonderful stay, and every employee we interacted with was so kind. A special shout-out to Dani, who was always so inviting and brought a smile to our faces every time we saw her! Amado at Sea Salt also stood out—he provided excellent service on multiple occasions. And the rib-eye tacos at Sea Salt? Absolutely to die for!! While the hot tubs could’ve been a bit warmer, overall, our room was absolutely beautiful, the drinks were fantastic, and we would love to return in the future. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our vacation unforgettable!! PS: If you are able, I highly recommend booking a service at the Conrad spa. It was, without a doubt, the best spa experience I've ever had. Room for Improvement: Although the resort provides a website with activity schedules and restaurant hours, we were unable to access it until hours after our arrival. This made it difficult to plan, especially when trying to find a place to eat after a long day of travel. I believe an app could help address this issue by offering real-time access to important information. Additionally, it would be helpful if staff assisted guests in setting up the app during check-in, ensuring a smoother and more convenient stay.
