    Great location, comfortable enough

    Stayed for 2 nights whilst attending a conference at the Manchester Central Convention Complex, excellent location: 10 minutes walk from Oxford Road train station, 5 minutes walk from the convention centre. Room was spaces, furniture dated, doors to the coffee tray dangling at an angle. Has air-conditioning. No plug sockets by the bedside which is inconvenient. Bed was very comfortable, very big TV. Usual coffee/tea facilities, although inconsistency with what coffee/tea was provided (one day - for teas, I had only decaffeinated tea!). There is a bath, wall mounted toiletries which include a separate hair conditioner. There's also wall-mounted hand/body lotion. Big bath towels are most welcomed! No bags in the sanitary bag container on both days. Wifi is hit and miss, seems to keep dropping off in the evening. Checking in and checking out was very easy. All staff are very friendly. The lift is fast, although only 2 out of the 3 lifts are set to operate. Breakfast was good quality.

    Good location and hotel

    Stayed here last week with family Thought the hotel was very good found the staff very helpful. Early check in and breakfast is fantastic Stayed here over ten times now so felt at home. Always up for an upgrade if offered one but needs must. Great location and plenty of pubs and restaurants. Car park is easy but could possibly have a better discount. Not very happy though with the £50 per night deposit. Especially considering we are there for a few days. Anyway will always return

    Proposal Ruined by building site

    I wasn't going to write this review as I was happy in my bubble with my new Fiancée, but after seeing the footage from the proposal, my anger and annoyance resurfaced. I booked a 1 night stay at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate. I booked the King suite for the sole purpose of the "living area" to be set up and used for a proposal. After my initial booking I emailed the front desk to confirm they have received my booking and to inform them that the booking will be used for a suprise propsal and that I have an decor company and photographer due to come to the hotel to set up when my partner and I were out. I received a response email acknowledging my request and what the booking was for. Check-in is at 3 (way too late for paying £250 for 1 night to be out in the AM)as we were travelling from London, we planned to get to the hotel at check-in. Due to the multiple traffic incidents on route, we did not arrive until 5-6 o'clock. On my arrival as I was checking in, I asked if the room was ready, receptionist informed me it was but then told me there is a balloon in the room that I may want to hide as it is a congratulations and complementary drink voucher (didn't notice the free drink till the next morning). On going to the room, the hallway on our floor smelt damp, and the pvc wood walls were peeling in the corner. On entering the room, my heart sank, the room was NOT satisfactory for a propsal AT ALL. The main view where the proposal decor is supposed to be situated is a building site blocking city veiws. I was extremely angry and disappointed that my email was ignored as who would want to have this eyesore in the background of propsal footage?? At this point I'm seething but can't make it obvious to my partner as she is unaware of my intentions to propose, plus due to the delayed travel, we were starting to be behind on our schedule, so continued to get dressed to go out. Visited the executive lounge before heading out for a glass of wine, very busy. Whilst I was out, the hotel did accommodate the decor company and photographer as requested. My proposal went well. The one and only thing i can say that i liked about this suite is the bed, which is very comfortable. With the amount paid for the room, breakfast should be included, we did have access to the executive lounge, but no actual food choices (if there was it wasn't there), just juice and coffee. the checkout is 11 (again, if check in 3, why is check out so early?) My partner and I took a bottle of juice and then checked out. I wasn't going to write this, but as I'm reviewing the proposal footage and images, I can't help but get angry and upset that when I look back at these, the building site is blatantly there, not like its something I can ignore, it's ruined the pictures and moreover, my experience all together. Hilton didn't have to do much, i told them i will be using it for a surprise propsals, all they had to do is just choose the correct room with no views of a building site, and they failed miserably. Also, possibly ruining the propsal by putting a congratulation ballon in the room knowing it was a surprise proposal further proves a lack of attention to detail and lack of customer service. I frequently use Hilton hotels when travelling. This experience has left a really bad taste, and I will not be using Hilton Hotels in the future.

    Just arrived at the hotel. No upgrade, even though there are all rooms available. The room is dated, stinky and humid. Service was ok. 20 years of lifetime Hilton gold membership down the drain. I do not recommend this hotel. Absolutely terrible experience.

    Excellent hospitality

    I stayed over on 12th and 13th of April, Everything was great from the check in to the checkout. First day and the staff named Eli checked me in on the Executive Floor. Eli was very friendly and very helpful. The Executive Lounge on the 23rd floor with an amazing view and very attentive staff, specially Aria. Aria looked after me like I was the only guest in the Executive Lounge, always with a smile! The final night I had dinner at the bar, the staff named James went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect for me. Thank you very much Aria, Eli and James 🙏🏻 Thank you very much Hilton Manchester Deansgate. I’ll definitely be back as you made my stay unforgettable!!
