    We booked a King executive. Can't comment on the executive lounge, we didn't use it as we had such a busy schedule. Our room was clean and comfortable, we had a tea tray and coffee maker, shower and bath. The bedding was lovely, clean and fresh, however the mattress was a little bouncy for me. We really like having the Cloud23 bar, always a great atmosphere and views are great in the evening when the city is all lit up. The breakfast in the morning was 10/10, the selection was absolutely superb. It had everything you could want. My husband had the full english and pastries and loved it. We would stay again, for breakfast alone.

    It wasn’t all that.

    OMG, Everything is so fancy in a good way of course . Although the rooms was a bit average the price is booming high but that doesn’t make me want to go any less. I wouldn’t recommend you go for a night but a week will get your moneys worth. Will go again(if possible).

    A functional stay

    I visited my aunt and stayed here for one night. The room was pleasant, though nothing exceptional. Breakfast was acceptable, but many items had already run out by the time we arrived at 9:45—even though breakfast is served from 8:00 to 11:00. A very big thank you to young Mohamed from the breakfast team on the 9th for getting me a green smoothie. I will stay again, but don’t expect Gulf or Asian Hilton standards.

    Came to the hotel for two nights for a conference. Pool area, conference facilities, most food all great. The rooms however are looking distinctly tired and smell musty. In need of a modernisation/refurb. Scrambled eggs on day two were liquid!

    Mixed bag

    Visited for a conference so can't comment on the value for money of the room as it was booked as part of the event. As for my experiences, the staff on reception were very helpful and the view was great (9th floor). The room itself was spacious and the bed comfortable. Kettle and range of tea/coffee was nice. However as others have mentioned there was a definite smell of stale smoke as soon as you exited the lift on the 9th floor and the room was so humid. I had the ac (was it ac?) on all the time but it never got better. The bathroom was nice but like others have said, the toilet squashed in behind the door. The toilets elsewhere in the hotel were also some of the smallest cubicles I've ever been in. The lifts were annoying. 2 out of 3 in use and taking ages to go up or down, and no option of stairs (I asked at reception but was told there were only lifts).
