Enjoyable Stay
We stayed in the Ali'i Tower and had a great experience. We liked that it had a smaller pool on the top level of the building which was quieter and not as busy as the main pool but still had a bar and servers available to get you something to drink. The Village has restaurants and many stores that make buying sundries and souvenirs so easy. The restaurants are most notable for their convenience rather than fine dining or delectable meals. There are lots of restaurants that are in close proximity to the resort which are great options. The room itself is ok but nothing fancy. Unfortunately they did miss one day of housekeeping which I never quite understand how that can happen. Even so, we would definitely stay here again.

Simply the Best
Hilton Hawaiian Village is the total package. The employees are available for anything you may need. There’s tons to do for everyone! Kids, adults, groups. Marylou was our housekeeper and did an amazing job with our room. We loved talking with her and just learning about the area. The value of HHV is beyond anything we have found on the island. My wife and I were travel agents and have been coming to Hawaii for 20 years. There is no better place.

Thanks
Chad at the front desk ruled. Staff incredibly nice. Rooms clean, and views were great. The hotel is kind of a mad house at times but that was mainly because my fellow guests had no common courtesy, no fault to staff. Great place for families, and while the cost was high, it seemed to align with everything else in the area.

Disappointing
We were in the Rainbow Tower on the 20th floor. We are Hilton Diamond members and received $18 per person for meals per day for the 2 of us. We stayed for 10 nights, 4 too many. Our room was ready when we got there and we were able to avoid the lobby madness via digital key. We went back later to pick up the 2 bottles of welcome water and get our towel keys once we were refreshed and the frenzy had died down. It took 3 attempts before we found the concierge desk staffed. The staff were friendly and courteous. Our room was nicely appointed. Beds were comfortable. We have no complaints with any of the staff and how we were treated. They were wonderful, well except for one impatient bartender at the Tapa Bar, but it was Super Bowl Sunday so he gets a pass. The Bellhops and housekeeping were the friendliest. Construction was going on above, below and on our floor, but it really wasn't that intrusive. Our coffeemaker was leaking and housekeeping had it replaced within 20 minutes. The Tapa Bar had the best food as far as our tastes. Burgers, pizza. The two beachfront bars are overpriced for medium quality food. $18 for a hot dog was a bit much. We ate at each of those once. We felt like the menus were limited with not a lot of options. We used our $18 each Hilton meal credit to buy snacks and beer at the WikiWiki, Starbucks and at the Tapa Bar. We don't usually eat breakfast so $36 basically got us a BOGO free meal each day. We ate off property the rest of the time. WikiWiki is cramped and crowded all day. It needs to be expanded. We viewed the fireworks aboard a sunset dinner cruise. The fireworks lasted exactly 5 minutes. Fun, but anti-climatic considering how heavily the fireworks are promoted by Hilton. Highly recommend a dinner cruise tho! The ice machine on the 20th floor was out-of-service and looked like it had been for quite some time. Nowhere is it ever stated during the reservation booking process that the beaches are public beaches. We had vendors poking their heads up under our $95 a day umbrella-chair setup trying to sell us trinkets. Vendors lined the beach boardwalk right up to the edge selling stuff. Very, very crowded beach. Annoying vendors. Beach service is not included. The boardwalk is also very crowded. The pools were overcrowded, in the shade most of the day and too small for a property this large. We did not get in the lagoon as it was also not private property. Public swimmers came in droves. There are so many stores at HHV vying for your dollars. Several of them have annoying associates trying to lure you in with free chocolates or packs of the fountain of youth lotions and perfumes. We started trying to find paths around them on the way to the ABC store by the second day. Almost felt like we were vacationing at a shopping mall. Hilton really doesn't want you to leave the property or book tours with outside companies. The directions to where you have to be picked up are not clear. They do not allow tour companies to pick up at your main hotel. You have to make a 5-minute walk to a parking garage. Same for Uber and Lyft. They won't let them pick up where the taxis are. Inconvenient when dragging heavy suitcases. Not a comment on the venue, but man, we found more rude people here than anywhere else we've ever traveled (and we've been to 7 different countries and dozens of US states). If you love playing "sidewalk chicken" this is your place. I was shoulder and elbow bumped every day and I'm almost 60. At 5'9" I know I'm not invisible or even hard to see. Just rudeness everywhere. I can't even say whether they were Asians tourists or natives due to the Asian influence prevalent in Hawaii. Sadly, from the "indigenous" Hawaiians lamenting about how "we" stole their island on EVERY tour we took and the rudeness of passersby, I have no intention of returning. I'd rather go to Florida than come here again.

Aloha y’all
Great time, great service, easy location to many restaurants. Only complaint was how busy it was. They handle a lot of people and traffic is slow during rush hour. Jon at the Tapa bar was great as was Kaile, in guest services, who was quick to reply in the app’s Chat option.
