Great location with easy access to all main attractions. Comfy beds and large room. No onsite parking as this is a 5-8 min walk away, wasn’t made aware of this when booking so plan around that. Breakfast was good and satisfied with what we paid and overall experience.

This location is excellent and the hotel staff is simply the best. The morning breakfast team really started our days off with great services. The team of David Kraus, Alejandro, Lou, Louise, Juan, Corazon and Chef Stefan were great each morning. David remembered orders and his attention to details is impressive! Thanks for making our days in Edinburgh so special.

This hotel is absolutely nothing like what is pictured on this or their website. It is under significant construction which we were not made aware of prior to booking and arrival. At one point whilst walking to the elevator, a construction worker was sawing through drywall whilst on the other side. No awareness or safety precautions for individuals that could be walking by. We also had to be escorted to our room due to the impact on the hotel layout caused by the construction. Navigating was extremely difficult. The staff did their best to accommodate us and make the trip great and the room was a good size and comfortable. However, given this experience it’s unlikely we would return to stay here at any point - even after the construction is finished. The location is great, but was one of the most complicated hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Make sure you’re on the lookout when walking through the construction areas as to not come face to face with a saw.

Great location and property!
While construction was underway, hotel staff was great and our room was quiet. Iryna, in the executive lounge, was attentive and kind. She is an excellent Hilton employee! Great location close to Waverly train station and short walk to the Royal Mile. Great spot!

Wonderful Stay at the Hilton Edinburgh Carlton
Aloha! Hilton Edinburgh Carlton, Finally getting around to writing a review. My husband & I, were there to celebrate our !6th Wedding Anniversary & my birthday. We’re still coming down from that AWESOME high of being in Scotland. Our Hotel stay was wonderful despite construction that was going on, even with minor inconveniences our room was very comfortable & surprises awaited us in celebration of our Anniversary & birthday. What an AWESOME gesture! The location was great to some sights & sounds for walkers like us! The wonderful staff, to mention a few, Lou, Lene, Juan, Emily, & all made our stay welcoming & pleasurable. The complimentary breakfast & Happy Hour was convenient & enjoyable during our stay. Most definitely we would love to go back & stay in the Hilton Edinburgh Carlton again! Mahalo Nui Loa, Mele Kalikimaka & A Hau’oli Makahiki Hou 2025! Aloha, Mark & Colleen Tuck
