Dec 16, 2024A lovely city and beach getaway!
I visited Hilton Diagonal Mar previously (10 years ago) and this time around I was so impressed with how modern and stylish it has become. We went for my husband’s surprise birthday trip and the staff at Hilton really helped me pull it together. A big thank you to Noor who made sure our room was beautifully decorated, she also went above and beyond contacting the bakery in Barcelona to assist me in arranging the delivery of the cake I’d ordered to the hotel and set it up for me. We stayed in a King Sea View Room which was beautiful on the 16th floor. I would recommend the sea view rooms. The only thing would be if it had an inside pool or spa area so guests could swim all year round but this wasn’t really an issue for us. The breakfast has a good selection and was very quiet maybe due to the time of year we visited. Across the road you have Diagonal Mar shopping centre with a plethora of restaurants and shops and it is easy to get cabs also. You also have the beach a short walk away so it’s the ideal location. Thank you Hilton for such a lovely stay.

Loved it: the team, the room, the breakfast - all perfect!
A 4-night long weekend at Hilton Diagonal Mar - all perfect: fantastic check-in on a late Wednesday evening, fantastic room (#1717), perfect breakfast and a lovely team at reception, breakfast and housekeeping. Some hiccups at first (lifts not functioning properly, kettle not working in the room) but they sorted everything out in a professional manner. Love the location outside the hustle & bustle of central Barcelona next to the Diagonal Mar Shopping Mall, we had great walks in brilliant sunshine along the beach promenade and found some nice cafés on the side streets, and the lovely Poblenou street and another shopping mall are within 30 min walk - it is all there so we didn't bother to go to central Barcelona at all; have experienced central Barcelona on previous visits. When you go to Barcelona for the first time, this may not be the area for you, but if you like long walks along the beach promenade and don't mind staying slightly outside, just go for it!

If you are looking for an old fashioned room without heating in the room and without hot water in the bathroom, this hotel is for you ! The quality of the breakfast is also very poor and an elevator was out of order which makes very long time to go to your room.

Hilton Diagonal Mar is a great hotel for your upcoming stay!
The hotel is really pretty, clean, and the customer service was excellent and consistent throughout all services provided. The indoor restaurants were really good and the breakfast service was excellent and highly recommend this hotel. Its also centrally located to the airport, cruiseport, malls next door and also a museum of science as well! What else can you as for and taxis easy to catch here as well!

Disappointing Experience with Lost Items
I accidentally left three items of clothing in the wardrobe of my room, and within 24 hours of checking out, I called the hotel to inquire about them. Unfortunately, I was told they couldn’t be found. I am absolutely certain I left them there, including two brand-new pieces of clothing. This leads me to believe that either they were discarded or taken by the staff. It is deeply disappointing that a hotel of this caliber does not have proper procedures for handling lost items. Such negligence reflects poorly on the establishment. While the room itself was fine, this incident has left me with a negative impression of my stay. I advise future guests to be extremely cautious with their belongings, as they may not be returned if left behind.
