    A Great Stay

    Recently came back from a week at the Hideaway. We chose to go with Diamond Club. Can’t say there are huge benefits to this. The biggest benefit was Jean-Carlos at the beach. One of the nicest guys there and always set us up perfectly. Food was good and the room was clean. Special mention to Juan, the bartender at the Adults Inly pool. The guy is pure energy!! He drives the atmosphere, which is awesome! Also, the guy knows his drinks !! Fantastic person for the job ! One star is lost for two reasons: - Getting coffee at breakfast is a challenge. We chose to eat at an outside table at the buffet and always had to chase down someone for coffee. - “Your room will be restocked every day”. Incorrect. Was restocked once and we told staff early on. Big picture though, an excellent stay !

    Lenny, Victor Lopez and Juan (hideaway bar) have made our visit very special.

    Staff and service has been awesome, HIDEAWAY! Judy in reception/concierge is top shelf. The first time experience at DR. This property is massive, enjoy the walk about, my recommendation is to find a spot that you feel comfortable and connected, then just chill there continuously, a friendly staff member will recognize you and serve your needs. A small tip is highly recommended. The all inclusive pay scale is crappy. These folks are working long days 12hr shifts, in the heat. Peace

    Friends time at the Hideway!!

    Victor Lopez & Juan are the BEST!!!! We had a fabulous time. There were 6 of us DC and we had an amazing time! Victor made sure we had everything & we were always taken care of!! Many of the staff he introduced us too were very accommodating as well! Won’t disappoint!

    Great time had!

    We had a wonderful time! The resort staff were very friendly and helpful! Look out for Joselito when you head to the beach, he is handing out towels and will help set you up at the beach for the day! We really appreciated him! There was lots of food options and availability. Some of the food is not the best flavor but all edible. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

    Nice place

    Just returned from a week at Hideaway with diamond club and swim out room. Having previously stayed up the road in Royalton Bavaro we had heard that this hotel wasn’t as nice but were pleasantly surprised and actually preferred this hotel to Bavaro as it was better set out and had a child free pool in the hideaway section. Staff were very friendly and didn’t pester or give preferential treatment to the big tippers unlike other resorts. Since our last visit yo a Royalton resort they have introduced an app which allows every guest in the complex to book restaurants which means that you don’t actually need a butler anymore so we questioned why we actually went diamond club particularly as the small diamond club lounge in hideaway was very poor and often didn’t have the drinks we wanted and staff often not around to serve us. The food in the restaurants was always cold however the main buffet was excellent and even had grilled lobsters one day. Didn’t get ill and the rooms were very clean. 3 star review based on cold food and rubbish diamond club service (apart from butler who came to say hello every day).
