Resort nice, but service and hospitality would hold me from coming back
Pros: -Resort was not overly crowded which was so nice for being spring break week. We were able to find places to sit at night and the kids were always able to use the pool tables when they wanted to and the pools were always free for the kids to throw the football around and always room to move around, so that was great. -Food seemed to be pretty good. Always a lot of options and the kids could always find something to eat that would like -Weather was beautiful and ocean is just gorgeous, it really is something. -The resort grounds and rooms and everything was very clean and rooms were very nice. We were in the Diamond Club Presidential Suite and it was very nice for our family of 5. We had 2 rooms, 2 Bathrooms, which was a big plus. We had a king bed and 2 pull out couches and then we requested a rollaway, which came right away, I was nervous we were going to have an additional charge for that, but we didn't. Our oldest who is 16 was nervous about how hard the bed was going to be, but actually he said it was pretty comfortable, so that was a bonus. -The view from our room was also very breathtaking. Both rooms had sliding doors to the balcony that overlooked the diamond club pool, beach and ocean. We could see the sunrise and just was a very good view. -Lots of things for the kids to do, they always seemed to find things to do and have fun. The Vibe/E team might have been the only friendly people around! Cons: -Travel to the resort-Wow. Well, I guess I just assumed since we had Amstar, that we would be getting in a small van once we got through customs and be headed to the resort. We did do Club Mobay, which the airport wasn't super busy when we arrived, so it probably wasn't needed, however our guide did to everything for us and it did expedite us through customs and we didn't have any checked luggage, so that was nice. So, after a drink and some food in Club Mobay he said Amstar was ready for us. Amstar took us out to a large charter bus. We checked in and we waited and waited. I bet we sat on that bus for 40 minutes. We than made our way to our resort, stopping and going in the terrible traffic and making stops at 5 resorts. It took us almost 3 hours to get to Royalton. It was terrible. So, if I ever came back-I would do private transportation, because I WILL NOT do the charter bus again-that was bad, and the driver was rude. -Service-We are still trying to get over how bad the service was. Wow, it was not good. No one was pleasant, it was like we were supposed to look up to them or something, I don't know what it was, but it leave a sour taste thinking about how they acted. I guess we are just so used to how pleasant and over the top everyone is in Mexico and even in the Dominican Republic. They want to make you happy; they want to make sure everything is for you and your way, they smile, and greet you, and seem happy to be at work and excited to make your drink and serve you food and be there to wait on you, that is not the case here, at all, which just makes it a bad vibe. I don't think here they really cared. We left here not knowing a single person's name. We would leave other resorts with people's names, pictures with staff, etc. and mind you, we were tipping and that didn't matter! And this isn't our first all-inclusive either, we go somewhere 1-2 times a year for the past 15 years. -It's the Jamaican Way, is really a thing-If the food truck said it will open at noon, well it might be 12:30! Will you see waitresses coming around the pool for drinks, no. The food that you ate might sit by the pool all day too, unless you take it to the trash, they just don't worry about that. If you call because you had your room cleaned and they didn't replace your towels, they might bring them to you or they might not, or it just might take them 45 minutes! -Drink selection. We've never been anywhere that we would order one drink at one bar and then the next place we go they wouldn't have it. It became a running joke. Or the same bar we would order and then the next time we would go up, they wouldn't have it anymore. Now, we are not talking anything fancy either. We were diamond club and that bar had some higher end stuff, but again, nothing fancy. Citron Vodka for example. -Diamond Club, not worth it at all. Our Butlers did nothing. Dinner reservations, they did somewhat help, but a few reservations they said they couldn't make happen when it's like OK we are here for a week, why are you not able to get us into these places, isn't that why we have Diamond Club? But if we showed up without them right when the restaurant opened at 6:00 we were able to get right in. Now did the cons ruin the trip. Absolutely not. We still had a fabulous time, how could you not when you're in amazing weather with a beautiful beach and scenery, but every day in certain moments we would just be like wow that person was so rude and how could he/she not like there job or treat us like that. We would just have moments that we would just be in shock here and there, which shouldn't happen when these people should be over the top! All in all we had a great week. Would we return to Jamaica. At this point, I think it would take ALOT of convincing for us to return, like alot...........

This is a 3 Star Resort
We spent spring break in this resort. See my notes below. Anyone that calls this a 5 star resort, please treat yourself to a real 5 star resort. Pros: Beautiful beach - the water and sand are as good as it gets Good food selection at buffet Great views from room. We stayed in building 3, 2nd floor Modern room design Sound from outside doesn’t travel to room No hasslers on the beach Vibe team at the pool had the party going Not crazy busy/loud for a spring break Cons Slow service - this I will explain. At sports bar our order for 3 took 1 hour. Another family lost their patience and the father started yelling because his kids were so hungry they were crying. They had waited for their food for 1.5 hours. Unhappy workers - we mostly had “I couldn’t care less” attitude. We didn’t let it get to us but you can tell they are not happy working there. No liquor in rooms - see photo. This is the first all inclusive we have been to where no liquor was available in room aside from two cans of beer. No/minimal service at beach - first 3 days we were at the beach there was no service. The next few days we saw a server a couple of times a day. Power outage - the entire resort went black at night multiple times and it didn’t look like there was back up generator so we used our flash lights from our phones to get to our room. No healthy food options available at grab and go cafe other than banana and apples. Unauthentic food at restaurants - the themed restaurants had flavours that didn’t make sense. The food was mediocre at best. No reso at restaurants - the reso system is so bad. You have to use the app to make a reso and if you are lucky you’ll get a spot. Otherwise there is no way of eating at a restaurant. Understaffed - severely understaffed which explains the cleaning team going into rooms at 8pm, slow service at restaurants and the beach, room service takes over an hour. Cleaners don’t stock fridge. It’s done separately so there is a chance you’ll miss it. Waiting to be seated at the buffet although many empty tables - again due to being understaffed. Buffet opens at 12.30 - the buffet should open at 11-11:30. Someone who eats breakfast at 7am will have to wait until. 12:30 at earliest to eat. The other food options that open at noon have huge lines so either way you are waiting at least 5 hours to eat. No oat milk for lunch - it’s available at breakfast but they won’t serve it at lunch. Tips: We didnt book Diamond club maybe pay extra and you’ll have a better experience? Try making a restaurant reso at midnight No need to wake up early to grab loungers. Keep beach towels from previous day if you want to hold loungers Water bottles only available at cafe Shoutout to Omar at Italian restaurant - he put in the effort to make sure our 2.5 year old had his food served right away

Incredible Service & A Must-Try Drink!
I had the pleasure of being served by Richard, and I can’t say enough good things about him! His energy, professionalism, and passion for what he does truly stood out. He recommended and made me a drink called the Richard Hulk—and wow, it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and you could tell he put a lot of care into making it. Richard’s exceptional service made my visit unforgettable. If you have the chance, definitely ask for him and try the Richard Hulk! Highly recommend!

Fantastic Resort!
We travelled as a family of four with children ages 8 and 11. I cannot speak highly enough of this resort! We were truly taken care of from the time we set foot on the property until the moment we left. Staff The best part about this resort is the incredible staff. We did not encounter a single person that wasn't friendly and helpful. From the housekeeping staff to the wait staff to the vibe staff and the butlers, we received nonstop unparalleled service. JeVaughn on the beach and at the pool was the most incredible server we encountered. He was always around when we needed more to eat or drink. Richard at the bar was so fantastic and made the BEST drinks. The vibe crew (Strap, Starfire and Twinkle) were so much fun and really kept the party going! Accommodations We upgraded to the Diamond Club and it was 100% worth the extra money. We had a family luxury suite with a king bed and pull out sofa, and this was plenty for our family. The sofa actually is a pull out with a chaise, so each of our kids essentially had their own beds - they said they were super comfy as well. The area of the resort we chose was building 1 and it was the perfect proximity to the pool and beach. What made the Diamond Club super special was the dedicated butler service that we received. We had wonderful service from our butlers, Kenneth and Gayna (Gayna truly went above and beyond - she answered any and all questions we had and hooked us up with fabulous dinner reservations!) Food You will not go hungry here. We ate at all restaurants and did not have a single bad dish or meal. We particularly loved Zen for the teppanyaki experience and the sushi there was also spectacular. Excursions We did one excursion to Rick's cafe. Carla helped us book this and she was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a great little trip on a catamaran to snorkel (not great snorkelling but still fun), and then an awesome time at Rick's. The ride home is during sunset - it was really fantastic! You will not regret booking this resort!!
