Honest review for the ROYALTON Negril (not diamond club)
Being completely honest, here’s a summary of the first half of our stay at Royalton Negril (without being part of the Diamond Club). The hotel is clearly in constant growth and maintenance. They are improving the facilities, but it’s best not to look too closely at the details. When it rains, the lobby ceilings leak constantly; in the restaurants, the finishing details are poor; and in the rooms, some ceilings and walls show signs of humidity. There is a lot to improve in terms of details, no matter where you look. The service is disappointing. Most of the staff are not friendly, and only a few people truly stand out for their good service and attention. The restaurants, to be fair, serve good food. We had high-quality meats, fresh fish, and well-balanced flavors. The buffet was also a pleasant surprise, offering a wide variety of options for all tastes and great quality. However, the biggest issue is with alcoholic drinks. They frequently run out of beer, and most cocktails are unavailable because they are always missing key ingredients or liquors to prepare them. A huge disappointment. The hotel has access to two beautiful beaches with clear waters, gentle waves, and amazing marine life, including starfish, stingrays, fish, and corals. Unfortunately, many tourists take marine life out of the water, leaving the starfish to die, and the hotel does nothing to stop it. Another major downside is the constant presence of street vendors. They spend all day offering souvenirs, braids, paid water activities, and cigarettes. While we understand this is their job, it becomes incredibly annoying and frustrating. We’ve been to other beaches, and this is the only place where we’ve encountered vendors being this persistent. Another negative experience was that they pressured us for three days in a row to attend a membership club presentation. Even though we repeatedly told them we weren’t interested, they kept insisting until we were practically forced to attend a three-hour meeting that wasted our entire morning. The experience was exhausting and uncomfortable, as we felt harassed and pressured into going. Very poor behavior from the hotel. Other Important Notes • There is no beach bar, so you have to walk quite a bit to get drinks. • The reservation app often malfunctions, and the staff does nothing to help. • If you have an issue with your room, minibar restocking, or anything else, be patient because it can take over two days to get it resolved. Our final veredict is the beach is beautiful, the food is decent, but nothing else about this hotel is worth it. If we had to choose again, we wouldn’t return to this Royalton in Negril and would opt for a different hotel instead.

Celebrating my Birthday in One Love land! Our experience in Royalton Negril was nothing short of Amazing
The location is just beautiful! Each corner of the property offer a stunning view. The highlight of our trip was the outstanding support of Diamond Club Butler Daron, who went above and beyond to enhance our experience. Whether it was securing restaurants reservations, ensuring rooms stock with snacks and drinks, or helping us choose the perfect evening entertainment. Every detail contributed to an unforgettable occasion, Thanks chef Roberto! Thanks Singer Tai, who is an absolute star. I recommend the coffee shop and Martinis Bar. Have fun and enjoy this beautiful island.

Royalton Negril
This resort was fine, but the pool was quite cold during the afternoon. The beds were nice, and so was the whole bungalow thing I stayed in. I would recommend, but only average. It was a nice spot with high security, which added to the safety I felt as Jamaica has high crime rates.

Girls' Trip
The resort was nice and my room was as well. Somethings need updated & I met a lady going thru the rooms and the resort making notes as to updates. First thing, I was disappointed the first night. We were to have joining rooms. That never happened during the trip. Finally on day 5 they moved my friends to a room on the same floor. (I hope my friends will leave a review too) . The buffet had quite an assortment to choose. No salt or pepper. Bring your own. You need to use their app to make reservations for the restaurants. We were only able to make one reservation but the only availability was 8 pm. Also was lucky enough to be able to walk into one of the restaurants for an early dinner without a reservation. So if you want to make a reservation....good luck! No need to make reservations at the buffet, blue truck, jerk chicken/pork station, sports bar, or coffee shoppe. The beaches were nice. There were not any water sport equipment You'll need to upgrade if you want a server. The store was absolutely expensive!! Bring your own floaties ,snorkeling gear, etc. The employees were nice & always had a smile to share. I would not stay there again.

Poor customer experience on a family vacation.
We recently went to Royalton Negril as part of a large family group to celebrate a special birthday. We had gone there 5 years ago and had a wonderful time so decided to go back again. From check in we started having issues. We could not get dinner reservations for the birthday celebration, even though we called weeks before and were assured it would be no problem, our ocean view room faced into a building, our shower head did not work and no one came to fix it, and many other smaller issues that together showed me that the managers at the hotel just dont care. There were some helpful staff at the hotel who tried their best but they were clearly not empowered to do anything. When I did speak to a manager at check out time to share my experience, I finally seemed to have found someone who heard what I was saying. She was extremely apologetic and even offered to upgrade us, should we ever decide to come back to Royalton. However, then came the catch. In order to receive this upgade I was asked to sign a waiver saying that I would not say or write anything negative about Royalton and if I did , I had to agree that the could sue me for unlimited damages. Needless to say I did not sign the waiver. I was shocked that this was how Royalton would seek to address a genuine customer experience issue from a repeat customer. Our family love this hotel and would love to go back but not based on our experience with the current management who have allowed standards to detiorate so bad.
