    Location is great!

    The staff is polite, friendly and respectful. The property is well maintained, room was perfect with a small fridge and Keurig coffeemaker. Hotel is in walking distance to the beach, shopping & restaurants.

    Misleading Hotel

    My wife and I booked a stay at the Halepuna Waikiki, assuming it was one of American Express's Fine Hotels. Unfortunately, it does not meet those standards; it is neither a five-star nor a four-star hotel, but rather resembles a two-star establishment. It felt more akin to staying at a Motel 6. The hotel lacks basic amenities, such as a concierge or support for reservations. Additionally, there is no spa, and the fitness facility has only two treadmills. While the room was clean, it was barely large enough for two people. The hotel advertised a complimentary breakfast, but the options were pre-determined, leaving no room for customization. For instance, my wife requested plain toast instead of sourdough bread, but this was not permitted. The menu items were quite unappetizing, to the point where we chose not to eat at the hotel at all during our eight-day stay. After voicing our complaints, the hotel, likely accustomed to such feedback, offered us a $30 discount at their sister hotel. We were also granted access to the spa at the other hotel, but it turned out to be a converted hotel room rather than a genuine spa experience. Finally even the entrance to this hotel was from a alleyway, just a horrible experience. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in more that 20 countries, this is one of those hotels that I would not return to even if it were FREE.

    Halepuna is a hidden Waikīkī gem

    The Halepuna is a hidden Waikīkī gem. The hotel is modern and meticulously modernized and clean with beautiful flowers in the lobby. Rooms are quiet. The hotel is one small block from the ocean. The hotel staff are amazing! They provide beach towels at the valet. The valet never complained how many times we got our car even we left a cell phone in it. The breakfast at Umi is an amazing treat. Food is superb and the staff and hostess are amazing. I do wish we had an option to eat at House Without a Key for breakfast one day like in the past, but that’s okay. Beautiful infinity pool on the 8th floor and friendly staff. Never had an issue getting a recliner even at 11 am. We will be staying here again. Thank you.

    Halepuna Waikiki

    Very nice, modern and sleek hotel. Love the bathroom and view from balcony. I really appreciate the extra little things you need that are provided such as coffee and tea station, frig and safe.

    Wonderful, relaxing

    The staff at this hotel were exceptional, as was the service. The room was clean and modern, and was very pleasant. We had a city view but the windows were floor to ceiling, let in a lot of light, and the view was great. There were always good chairs available at the pool, and a nice staff member up there taking care of you. The hotel was very quiet. We requested and were given an early check in and a late check out to match our flight times. All in all a great experience!
