May 05, 2025It is overpriced for an old hotel that has not kept with the upgrades.
Very busy place with nice pools and beaches. Watch out for the members meeting scam. They try and sell you membership that is not worth it. The service is ok. The rooms are dated and the front check in guys wants a tip before when you first check in. In all the years we have travelled to Punta Cana, this never happened.

This hotel is amazing you can not fault it, I love it here, we came for 2 weeks this is my second time and can’t wait to come back again, it’s so friendly and warm all the food and drink are amazing as well as the staff, iv never been on holiday and felt so comftable, the rooms are always kept very clean and fully stocked we had a family suite and our maid was amazing wish I knew her name, nothing was too much trouble I really felt at home here, the beach is lovely, the toilets on the beach always kept very clean by the amazing cleaner, the food in the lunch buffet on the beach is amazing and so much choice you are really spoilt here and it’s so worth the money, the restaurant reservations are made simple with the concierge team and all the food is wonderful this is the best holiday I have ever been on and iv been to a lot of places and this deserves 5 stars plus!!!

Honest review
We loved our stay here from start to finish after being scared to come here because of the bad reviews, all I can say is that holidaymakers themselves makes this hotel messy!! So many times I've seen people littering, even in the buffet people dropping food from their plates and instead of picking it of the floor they just kick it under the table or leave it laying there in the middle which is insane. Anyway our room was spacious and cleaned everyday. Also concierge used to call our room every day to make sure we had the basics like toilet paper, drinks and clean towels. Food was basic and a bit repetitive but we always found something to eat as we are not a picky eaters so that wasn't a problem. I don't know why other reviews say that there aren't any cutlery in the buffets, there is!!! On every table!!! People just like to exaggerate. Resort grounds are being well maintained every single day which was nice to see. Staff members are so nice and friendly, always cheerful. Beach was lovely we spent every day there. Might consider coming back here.

Go somewhere else!
I recently joined a group of friends at this hotel in April. There were 11 of us in total, including two young children. My friend and I shared a room, which we received before my other friend with her parents and two small children in tow, let me state that they had arrived at the hotel approximately 5 hours prior. When I asked the front desk staff if they could take my room instead, they said no, because my friend booked a family suite (our rooms were exactly the same). Upon arrival in my room, I began checking out the cleanliness of the bathrooms, which was disgusting. The toilet still have poop splattered in the bowl and on the seat, the shower floor was black (I used chlorine bleach and lysol wipes I had brought with me to wipe surfaces which turned black upon wiping the tub) and the bathroom had mold growing in various areas. When I received a courtesy call about the condition of my room, I told them the washroom needed cleaning and they sent two different individuals to "fix" my toilet. The toilet worked fine, but we couldn't explain to them that we simply needed a recleaning as their English was not great. During our 7 day stay, our room was cleaned ONLY ONCE, ONCE! This is completely unacceptable to me. We had to ask numerous times for fresh towels, to which it would take hours to receive, sometimes not until the next day. A sheet freshening would have been appreciated. The pillows in the room felt like they were stuffed with rolled up socks haha! The staff were not friendly. I often felt like I was inconveniencing anyone who I asked for a drink, or help, or had a question. The staff at the front desk didn't even know where I went to speak to the airline representative for me to determine my departure time later in the week. The pool needs some major work. The light and filter caps are hanging off, broken and are a hazard to young children who want to use it as a ledge to step up out of the pool. The beach was filled with seaweed on some days and not on others and the walkways at the top of the beach were often covered in piles of sand so if you weren't watching where you were walking at all times, you could trip over the dunes. I simply will never return to this resort and will never recommend it to friends or family. I will never stay at another Grand Sirenis period.

Teppanyaki restaurant
Roberto Kawasaki was such a pleasant chef to have at the teppanyaki restaurant. Put on such a great show and cooked amazing food. Marcus our server was attentive to our needs for drinks and clearing plates. Please take photos to have such good memories!
