Low budget for price you pay.

Disappointed with the quality and cleanliness of rooms. For what you pay, I was shocked at the service and as many times as it took to get things such as batteries for remotes, room service etc. We had a major sink leak first night and our room smelled like sewer for most of the week as the water came back up through the drains. AC quit working in two of the three rooms we had. Did room service one night and we couldn’t get the phone to work to confirm our order. Finally for a call back 1.5 hours later and said it would be another hour or so and asked if we still wanted the food. We said yes and then were missing a wrap and our dessert. Still got charged the room service fee. One of our other rooms had a horrible tub leak as well and constant water running into the hallway in the entry way. Refrigerator leaked in one of our rooms. Things are just not maintained and kept up. The different pools and beach were nice. It was hard to get into restaurants that took reservations so we ate at the buffets a lot which had good food. The day we left, our flight got majorly delayed and we deboarded and got put up in a different resort that night and it was absolutely beautiful and stunning! Had I known about this particular resort, I would have booked there and paid a little extra.

If you want a luxury holiday this is NOT the place to go!

Pros: - Lovely pools & beach (although busy!) Secret Pool is the best! - Clean rooms and comfy beds - Lots to do and plenty of Bars! Hemingway is the best by far! - Close to airport Cons (where do we start!): - Language barrier - this is a big problem, and staff come across rude and ignore requests. Can’t even be bothered to offer you water at meal times and walk past you with water jugs in ignorance. - Rough around the edges - mainly in the room blocks I.e leaking ceilings and bad finishing. - Food - all the restaurants and buffets serve the same thing day after day with them all offering a serving of food poisoning! We were TUI customers and clearly were at the bottom of the priority list when booking restaurants too! You can’t book on the app either you have to go to guest services to book. Different restaurants available for different customers too! Do not be fooled! - Guest services - very unhelpful and rude. Be prepared to get lost a lot too as it’s such a big resort and no explanation of where anything is! - Free room upgrade was a waste of time - supposed to have a pool view but had the main road instead. - Entertainment is poor - Tipping was forced on you all the time as soon as you step off the plane. - Excursions through TUI are extortionate - Weekend passes to hotel are available to purchase for locals so it’s extremely busy at the weekends and quite rowdy. - Drinks - all ok but not top shelf brands but that’s as expected. We spoke to a few people in the resort and on the way home, majority of said would not travel to DR again, and sadly we feel the same! Barbados or Cancun is a much better option!

    Palladium Punta Cana

Very enjoyable experience. Value for price is perfect, compared to other resorts at approximately the same price. Will definitely stay at palladium in the future, even in a different location, and I will definitely recommend it.

    Left after 1 night

Well since I am up at 730 AM because of the grounds crew shouting and talking loud outside our rooms, I should just go ahead and write a review of this place. We only stayed one night and moved to a different resort. 1st experience was at the front desk where it took forever to get us our rooms. We endured some guy trying to sell us on some time share nonsense for several minutes and eventually just had to walk away from him. Once we finally got a room, one of them had a patio door that the lock didn’t work and the lights upstairs didn’t work. This was our kids room so we called 3x to have someone come fix it. Finally I went to the front desk and I talked directly to someone and they sent someone. Next my wife is allergic to feather pillows. Upon checking in we asked for foam pillows. Again we asked several times over a five hour span. Maintenance knocked on our door at 10 pm and brought us MORE feather pillows. My wife slept on a shirt. Now it’s early and after very little sleep the grounds crew is literally outside shouting to each other non stop. So since I can’t sleep I have time to write this review. I’ll never recommend this place.
