Feb 04, 2025I wouldn’t stay here again
For how much it costs you could get a much better experience elsewhere. They started our trip by done grading our room, claiming it was an upgrade then had us running around the resort all day without a room and when we were finally able to get into a room, it was already dinner time so we didn’t even get to enjoy the first day of our resort stay so that should let you know how the rest of the trip went. The food was mediocre at best and mostly clueless staff.

Feb 03, 2025Great but room for improvement
Stayed in the Family Select section for 9 days with my wife, and 2 young daughters, plus my in laws (4 seniors, 2 adults and a baby). Overall, it was a good experience, and would return sometime in the future, if I can get a good deal, as it is a pricey resort. Good: - the butler service was great. We had Daniel (who was amazing) and Rogelio, who was also amazing. -junior suite (building 51 is really close to the beach) was well appointed, modern, clean, and stocked. - FS beach is really nice, shallow, plenty of chairs. The La Jarra bar/grill was excellent for lunches by the beach. - restaurant food was all pretty good. Thai was excellent IMO. - tons of activities for the kids!!! The Junior club was impressive - video games, music room, 2 bowling lanes, billiards, foosball and more. - FS pool was really nice, the kids loved it. - checkin wasn’t too bad-plus we changed rooms to a beachside suite and that was quick. -Beachside suite was incredible. It’s huge. I wish we booked the whole trip darting in this multi-room suite. It’s also steps to the beach. BAD - the beds were really hard. I didn’t sleep well. Pillows were ok - you can request feather, memory foam etc. The suite had 2 double beds - 2 average sized adults sleeping in a double bed is not ideal. Why these rooms don't at least have one queen bed is a head scratcher. Meanwhile my 9 yr old have a double to herself, and my 5 yr old slept on a pull out sofa. Both were comfortable. - when we entered the Beach suite, they had just cleaned/disinfected it - and the chemical smell was almost unbearable for a full 24hours. We kept the balcony doors open in both rooms to air it out. It was fine day 2. - my wife’s parents both got Norwalk Virus and were in bed for a full day, and took them a few days to feel better. - buffet food wasn’t that great. Very bland. -travel club presentation. STAY AWAY FROM IT! They told us the preso was one hour and we would get tix to a dinner/show. They said they would show us the VIP areas of the resort (they didn’t), just one villa. The preso was over 3 hours long. We were hungry and cranky. The salesman that comes in to ‘close’ was unlikeable, cocky and dismissive of my questions. It got a little heated. Don’t waste your time on this presentation.

We booked this resort for our wedding, and had 38 guests. We found black mold in our rooms and half our guests were violently sick. Service was not great, we had many issues with our rooms, and were not dealt with. We later found out that there were other reviews similar to ours and that hand foot and mouth virus was circulating. Would not recommend this resort.

Beautiful and Clean Resort
We are on our way to the airport after a week stay at the Kantenah (not FS) We were 4 adults. All in all we had a great time. The resort is beautiful and clean. The food at the a la cartes are pretty good. I must say the Thai restaurant was my Favorite. The buffet was buffet food not better or worse than any other resort I've been to. Drinks are good. Plenty to choose from. They pretty much have anything you could want. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about was the pool. It was a gorgeous pool BUT... it was so deep and COLD. When they say swim up bar, you can take that literally because you had to swim to get to the pool bar. The pool was 5'3" and I cant swim so I was stuck on the stairs of the pool the whole time. Also did I mention the pool water was COLD. We had a great time non the less and I would definitely be back!! .......P.S, The White Sands pool was shallower so we did spend a couple afternoons there. There were a lot less people at that pool but still a lot of fun. Cheers!! 🍹

Great food, great service, great everything..bands were good but could have had more shows on the main stage.
