Cold food and room needs remolding

My husband booked the Oasis Palm. However, at the time of check in, we were told our stay was upgraded which is how we ended up at Sens. Our room was horrible; it needed remodeling. The buffet is horrible and food is lukewarm. The restaurants on the property served better food; however, it was cold as well. On the flip side, the staff were nice.

    Do not book

This all-inclusive resort was a complete let down. Horrible food terrible service boring atmosphere. Took my daughter's that are both 18 and 19 on their first all-inclusive vacation had to book things to do off the property the whole time because there was nothing for them to do pools are not heated so in the winter time they are freezing. Restaurants close down at certain times of the day leaving only food option during midday Pizza and Pasta which are cold and awful. I highly recommend anyone to look elsewhere before booking a vacation.

Terrible food, Spa service. Money not worth it.

We stayed at Sens Cancun from Dec. 30 till Jan 6th. My apologies for long review. We booked here because it has a 4 star hotel standing and we want to spent our New year holiday somewhere warm weather and all inclusive so we don't have to go out in the resort to eat. The beach part is fantastic, ideal swimming for kids as it not as wavey like on the other side of the hotel zone. I MUST SAY THAT THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!!! This is our 5th time in Cancun and we stayed at different resort so we have the comparison. By far this one has the terrible food, All 3 international buffet restaurant all serve cold, sad looking food. At first we thought maybe its just a one time thing that the food was not great but the next day and the succedding days were all the same. I cannot expressed how disappointed my family were about the food menu. We tried the Cocoa restaurant that serves grilled seafood and meat, they served the grilled seafood and meat COLD!!! The buffet always have a long line up and about 20-30mins average time to get in and eat dinner. I would also not recommend the SPA, its pricey and the massage is bad as well. I availed a 50mins relaxing massage and my therapist was rude and I had body pains after his massage, not relaxing at all. Over all the value of money for staying here is not worth it. $8000 for a 1 week stay is not worth the buck. Oh lastly, my partner got food poison after having breakfasr at the buffet in the La Hacienda restaurant on our 5th day. 2 days lost in our vacation due to vomitting and diarhhea. The rooms are also small compared to the other resorts we stayed in the past.

Not as great for a family trip as advertised. Very aged, and poorly maintained.

A very obviously aged resort, with a lot of awkwardness for a first time experience. There were a few interactions with staff that were pleasant, but there was a lack of signage and direction for certain things that left you wandering around or guessing. For example, booked a reservation at the Miramar restaurant for 6PM, all confirmed...get to the area, no employees, no signs or anything. We wait until about 6:05 and start seeing a few employees setting up tables and whatnot, still no communication. Finally, at about 6:15 or so, a lady goes and stands behind the podium and waits for us to approach and ask. Just weird things like that. Also, ignore the "game room" as this poorly put together area had maybe 2 arcade machines with working sticks and buttons, while over a dozen others didn't work properly or at all. So, if you had some random kid that has figured this out, they usually stayed on it indefinitely despite the posted time limit. Just a joke, all these broken machines just filling the space. So not very kid friendly in that regard. In addition, the food was sub par, but convenient for it being included with our room, so the convenience was appreciated. However, out of the 4 people in my family, I brough home an intestinal parasite. Most likely the food, since I stayed away from the tap water and whatnot. A very big lack of seating around the pool areas was also annoying, reducing your options to uncomfortable areas or right on other people's spaces. We did one excursion outside of the resort, which was kind of nerve racking. The pirate show was excellent, but the shuttle ride to and from was rather long, which added to the already too long show. In other words, after having drinks shoved in your face for a few hours, I was holding in a pee the whole ride home and it was the most uncomfortable I've ever been in my life. That was even with using the non-working restroom on the ship prior to leaving. All in all, we made the most of it. Suffered through the musty smelling room and other random quirks. Note to self: don't book a resort trip that overlaps with New Year's Eve. They set up a stage and light show during the day by the pool...and when the music kicked in, it was literally loud enough for a massive stadium event, pounding through the walls, rattling everything. I mean, ridiculously loud. And it didn't quit until after the ball dropped. Felt bad for any families with real little kids. Considering this was supposed to cater more to family vacations, it didn't not deliver. Consider somewhere else.
