Excellent Vacation!
Traveled with husband and 2 adult daughters. Everything about the resort was excellent, including accommodations, food, service, and facilities. Nothing to complain about. Dined at 4 a la carte restaurants (French, Mediterranean, Indian and Teppenyaki) and each one had excellent food and service. We are already planning a return next year!

Awesome time at Bahia Principe Tulum
We have been to Bahía Príncipe resorts 7 times before but this was our first time at Tulum. We went February 8-16 and had a fabulous time. I seriously cannot find anything wrong with this place except the beach is very rocky for swimming until you head up towards the Akumal section. We were booked the basic room we first checked I asked Camela if we could upgrade and she put us in building 1 with the new rooms and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. Building 1 is a close walk to the main pool, lobby and beach. We loved the location. The main pool is large and awesome. We love having the soda pop machines and flavored cold waters all day with the great mix d drinks at the pool bars. We also liked going to the fun section of the pool for foam party and daily aqua aerobics. In the past we booked Akumal and had a la cartes every night and for 9 days we got 4. I was good with this because I wanted to try buffets at night. Don Pablo was great, Le Gormet was good, Brazilian steak house good, but the Indian restaurant was superior! Not only was the food fantastic the service was incredible. Azeal was a great hoist explaining foods and Leonardo our waiter was there every second. His personality and attentiveness was amazing. We always go to Coba some mornings for breakfast because the nicest wait staff ever is still there from over 15 years ago. Andrea and Karina. We love them and they are a big reason we always come back. They are good friends to us. A lot of people complain that you cannot get good quality drinks anymore unless you pay but I got Jack Daniels all the time and several high quality Tequilas. My wife liked thier version of Malibu rum and I liked their version of Baileys. At the lobby bar the drinks were excellent. Try chilled Alcavero tequila shots, excellent! We had Mexican Guinness shots, mini beer shots with cinnamon, and Scooby shots. Every couple of days they had a specialty bar set up with a bar tender making exotic cocktails. They were awesome. I love their Mango margaritas on the rocks and my wife likes the Passion Fruit margaritas blended. The last 3 days we upgraded for the bracelets to use Akumal beach. We also went to sian ka'an for Gala night buffet but I was not impressed with their quality. So if you don’t care about a beach with no rocks there is no reason to upgrade your wrist bands. Tulum and Coba buffets were great. We will definitely be coming back to this resort. The staff makes this place so special everyone is very friendly.

Avg getaway
We recently brought a group of six people to celebrate our daughter’s graduation, including our 8-year-old son. Our trip started off a bit rocky, as we arrived just after a hurricane had passed through. The aftermath left us with intense humidity and a serious bug problem. Thankfully, the bugs cleared out after a day or two, but those first days were definitely rough. The pool was warm—almost like bathwater—and while it was nice to swim in, we found that there wasn’t much shade around, which made it a bit uncomfortable during the hottest parts of the day. The staff was okay; while they were generally polite, they didn’t go out of their way to be overly friendly or accommodating. The buffet offered a decent selection, though it didn’t particularly stand out. One thing to note is the abundance of wildlife. It was a bit of a mixed blessing—on one hand, it added to the natural beauty and charm of the place, but on the other hand, it occasionally felt a bit intrusive. We did really enjoy shopping at the Hacienda. The variety of shops was fantastic, and we found some unique items. The drinks throughout our stay were solid, and the kids absolutely loved the food truck options—those were a big hit! The nightlife was also enjoyable, especially the silent disco, which quickly became a favorite for our kids. However, one downside was the auditorium. It was incredibly hot, with no air conditioning, which made it quite uncomfortable, especially during longer events. Pro Tip: If you’re struggling to get a dinner reservation, try offering to purchase a bottle (or two) of wine. We found that even with a party of eight, this strategy worked, and it helped us get a table when we needed it. Overall, while there were ups and downs, we made some good memories and had fun moments along the way!

Great stay at Bahia Principe
Bahia principe tulum was great. We were group of young adults and older adult. Our room was really nice and had a nice view. We were building 41 near quiet pool and beach on the very far north side of resort. We really liked the location. Close to gym and near buffet. Steps to the quiet pool and nice section of beach for sitting. We have been to many resorts and find the ones in Mexico are good value. We generally go to the large resorts and nothing too pricey. Bahia had the best buffet for all meals. Large buffet with a theme and chefs special every day. Restaurants we went to were good. Ambience was nice food was good but not amazing. Gym was good a bit small but never too busy. The pool and sports entertainment crew was amazing and Abigail did great pilates and yoga near the tequila restaurant on the beach. The grounds are beautiful and lots of coaties. It is a really large resort. We went to the coba and akumal side once to snorkel but it was quite a walk and it's really hard to walk the beach. That is probably the biggest con. The beach is quite rocky for swimming and there is no nice walkway along the very long Beach. Snorkeling was okay-we had better in brisas huatulco last year. We did the bike tour and a couple long walks to coba and back. We took the trolley to coba for dinner. Sports bar in coba was great to watch hockey. We played tennis and visited the casino and shops. Played lots of beach volleyball and did water aerobics. Check in and check out was good and service at front desk, room cleaning and restocking and buffet all good. Overall we liked our room, the food and pool and activities best at bahia, beaches and snorkeling and ocean swimming better in brisas huatulco or barcelo.

Needs renovation and cleaning.
We stayed at the Coba and ut was one of the worst experiences we have had as a family. We travel with our kids on there spring break yearly and this was the worst. Old rooms..dirty and infected with insects. Mold under the sink. Front counter staff polite but no help. Don't smile just to do nothing but move us to another bad room. All issues are in the photos. Food was the same everyday..no real options. Only positive was kids club and some entertainment.
